I have and I still don’t get what you mean. How can someone with really long legs be quick over short distances? And in any case Dan Burn is neither quick over short or long distances

...Cos he's not reliant upon acceleration for those first yards. His stride does the work; after that is when the oppo pace is the leveler.

Look at Van Der Ven.... It's no accident that he's so quick..... That big stride of his plays a massive part in that.

Was thinking more on a human level of where his family are, where his allegiances clearly are and so on. Not saying he should be a future manager for us, at all - I just think his club loyalty should be rewarded.

That's what's been happening since we brought him back when he was hit with early retirement.

It's better for him to leave now too.... He's done everything here apart from be the 1st team manager.

Fly the coop and come back stronger (*).

(*Or not; of course)

"Fraud of the highest order" - maybe go have a look at his list of honours?

Jesus wept. If Conte is a fraud of the highest order God knows what we should call Ange.
I meant fraud in the sense of not taking responsiblity for anything that went wrong - but I see how it could be misleading, so have edited to remove the word 'fraud' - to be honest it was detracting from the more appropriate 'coward' anyway.

I thought Spence, Kulu and Bergvall in particular played well. Keeper also made some decent saves.

Porro and Son were poor.

Sarr had a mare.

The rest were 2nd best.

when was spurs last 15th in the pl?

Tottenham Hotspur last finished in 15th place in the Premier League during the 2012-2013 season. That season was particularly challenging for Spurs as they narrowly avoided relegation...

Munn’s the reason we have Ange in the first place and should be nowhere near the decision for a replacement.

Scott Munn’s start date at Tottenham Hotspur as chief football officer has been delayed after a protracted exit from his role at the City Football Group.
He had been due to start at Tottenham on July 1 but that has been delayed, with no official start date scheduled as yet.

He started 23rd Sep 2023.

It should be Lange’s decision as Technical Director, and I have more faith in him to get the appointment correct.

Lange started in October that same year.

We've no evidence that either played a part in hiring Ange........ 2 years later; it's not even clear what Munn's duties are.

However, if the DOF isn't central to such decisions moving fwd; that bother's me greatly.

I believe the broadcast said we are now on our worst mark since 1998

Yes, I don't think it's about just offering a 5 mill salary. Maybe Iraola isn't interested in leaving Bournemouth mid season, maybe he isn't that attracted to managing Spurs, maybe Bournemouth refuse to let him leave right now. If it was just about money then of course Levy would offer the 5 mill a year and it would get done.
More than likely he’s spoken to peers in football, agents etc and they’ve all said what a cunt Levy is and to stay well away

I thought it was widely reported Ange was Munn’s recommendation?

Wasn’t Munn snapped several times in Levy’s company (including in a departure lounge waiting for a flight) long before any official start date.
