Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You wanna hurt them gangsters, hit them where it really hurts...stop giving them your money. As friggin simple as that. If a majority of proper fans did that, the cunt & his cronies would've to listen and change.

But so many don't/won't cause they're friggin addicted and Levy is a fantastic drug dealer.

Believe me, it pains me to no longer put any money into my club...at least nothing substantial, nowhere near the tons I used to spend on ST, merch & co year in year out. But it's the stand I've taken for a few seasons now cause the pisstake gotta stop.

Now is the time to act. Not tomorrow, not next week, not next season. Now. It literally is getting to that stage where it's life or death for the once wonderful institution that was Tottenham Hotspur FOOTBALL CLUB.

Thing is, even if we got relegated, Levy would always find plenty Shadies, Harries and LPs to do his bidding. It's unreal.
100% agree with you. As you say,we are addicted to this club and it’s hard to stop something when you love it.

Spot on.

All things being equal and sat in let's say 6th or 7th, and with minimal injuries, I think many would be a touch irritated at the lack of activity.

And then there is all you have outlined.

It feels like corporate negligence.

Ok this is something I am just desperate to get my head around

1) Why after 3/4 windows when we have seen that we likely do not hear about transfers until they are pretty much done are people still basing our activity levels on tweets and guesses from people on Twitter, trying to generate clicks?

Do people really not get how these things work and by clicking and sharing they are just giving a huge thumbs up to the business model of these people basically taking the piss out of football fans?

2) Why, after numerous January windows when deals are typically always done late do people expect things to be different this one? It's a month window where pretty much anyone we buy that people will actually be happy about will likely require the selling club to replace and likely will not sanction a deal until they are sure they can?

Any Signings ? no

Im Out GIF

Deal conditions = can we get him for 6 months with no obligation and you guys pay half his wages

on this i think that's fair tho as he doesn't fit and is only good as a somewhat experienced temp defender to move gray out of there for a few weeks till Romero is fit

Tbf, if this was the deal on the table then Skriniar would be in his rights to say no. There are lots of clubs where he could be first choice CB for the next 2-4 years.

Why are there so many people on this thread who are 'shocked' / 'amazed' / 'in disbelief' that we've not made signings this month? How many January windows do you have to go through before you understand that this is the norm, we never buy lots of players in January, no one does, no one ever has or ever will, and an injury crisis won't make any difference to that, never has and never will. So it's not 'shocking' at all - a shock is by definition something you weren't expecting - given all the criticism of the owners on this forum, how can the same people be 'shocked' when the owners act exactly as those people say they always act. :/
I’ve agreed with pretty much everything you’ve ever written on here. But this time I don’t.

I’m not shocked and outraged by our lack of activity, more disappointed at feeling let down.

We’ve never been in this situation since the transfer window system began, hence why the need to act hasn’t been so urgent.

But our league position and injury list means we should be doing more this month. That we aren’t or haven’t is a disappointment.

Shadydan Shadydan You love to moan about other fans moaning. Everyone on here has a right to speak their mind when the club is at an all time low. We don’t need little know it alls like you calling people out at every opportunity when we do say how we feel.

When Ange does get sacked we all know what will happen. You’ll disappear under a rock again.
Ended

Points well made.

We are desperate. Waiting to save a million might just mean losing tens of millions.

And it's also quite true that in the majority of transfers, there is a bit of smoke.
