At least AngeLOSS can't break Levys new tourist attraction if he's out on loan.
I know we are not allowed to do politics but honestly this isn't a political point. I was watching PM question s and I was struck by how similar Kemi Badenoch and Ange Postecoglou are. It's the combo of being totally out if your depth, very brittle when challenged an inability to read a room. They just got this vibe. Any way it's clear we are waiting for Europ and ECL spit backs to spend our hefty 25 million and 40k a week on. Levy don't give a fuck.

I wasn’t aware of a huge demand for hotel rooms in N17. Low cost housing maybe but if you build it they will come I guess.
When I originally went to the early meeting about the new stadium (fan consultation Lol) when the 400 million was mentioned, ( I was invited along with many others cos I had 4 tickets in the Pat Jennings Lounge) they said the following . There is a shortage of conference facilities in London and to do it properly they should have accommodation near by . They also said even at the old stadium on weekends when there were no games they hosted lots of Barmitzvahs and Bstmitzvahs and could do more if they had accommodation nearby .

That was what was said at the time

I’m not saying 300 million is right , I’m saying no way that hotel comes in at the figures we were given originally . He never delivered the stadium on time or on budget , you crack on with your blind faith optimism , I’ll crack on being sceptical.
The land cost and construction cost would be way in excess of 50 million pounds. You would be a idiot if you think that. A 5 bedroom house with garden in the same borough cost you 5 million pounds.

But none of them need to do it as badly as us
I'm not usually a fan of not doing business....
But.
Buying players for a coach who IS going to get sacked is hard.
Buying players and fitting them into a full 25 man squad is hard. We're not going to upgrade, it, we're just going to add to it and a lot of them are due back soon.
Being desperate and trying to negotiate is hard.

We're in a tough place.

Hotel build costs will be funded by banks - they like property to lend against which .can produce income for decades to pay them interest and generate funds to repay loans

Banks do not lend against player purchases - short career life (often 10 years or less if buying an experienced player in their mid 20's) especially if player gets injured.

So building a hotel does not mean diverting club funds from buying players.

Give Chirpy a go, I’ve heard he is good on the wing
Chicken Wings Dinner GIF by Buffalo Wild Wings

that's not what they meant.

Your well out of date. If you want a return I can't think of anywhere better to park money. People are stuck in the 90s . The marshes canals and building work everywhere in the area tells the tale. People who need low cost housing are not getting it there. I work there once a week.

The hotel is on same site as stadium and footings were built at same time as stadium - so no land acquisition cost as well as some construction cost spent.

Property like hotels is funded by banks and then on a long 'rental' to a hotel chain probably paying Spurs up front for internal decor and then a lengthy rental. So the hotel is not competing with club funds for players
