Apparently Bayern still owe us many installments for the Kane deal so would be easier for them to write off most of that with the Tel deal. A lot of the bayern journalists reporting on our interest too so I do feel like Bayern's preference is to do the deal with us and I think we are actually serious for once and willing to pay what it takes. The problem is the player. I'm not sure how we can convince him to come here but I hope we find a way.

Hopefully, he will go the way of their other huge signings of late and be played out of position and not move the needle for them in the slightest.

Tricky one for Villa, Watkins is pure PSR profit I think in the sale. Bought for 30mil 4.5 years ago, probably worth around 3mil on the books. Could allow the owners to throw cash around in the summer.
 
I thought Tel would be France’s 9 for years. Not so clear now that Mbappé has made the transition but this is the strongest we’ve probably ever looked at 9. Historically it’s been a big weakness for usb(even when we won world cups).

Tel is a top talent. Surprised this is a possibility.

The advice I think would be more 'go and sign for Spurs but don't sign your life away like I did' he's 21 plenty of time to move elsewhere.

I’ve thought some more about this and you’re probably right. My vision has been impaired by my growing bewilderment of Enic, but the badge is bigger than the ownership and the history is more important.
 
Villa want Tel too now and they've 70m in the bank just from the Duran deal. Bayern must be laughing. 7 clubs asking for him. No way they agree to a loan now. It'll be the highest bidder and he won't go for anything less than 60m
 
We can offer something no other club can, I think it gives us the edge . Working for Daniel Levy is character building, look how many players have been successful once leaving Spurs . All that success is due to the appalling way our club is run , what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger . So come on Tel are you brave enough to suffer 3 years of abject failure with us for glory elsewhere in the future.
