Already outdated, 100% Woolwich are significantly in the green and Man Utd who are not mentioned being in the top 8 here are literally confessing to the fans that they're on the verge of breaching PSR unless ticket prices go up.
Eh, Sanches came to Swansea after he'd been a complete disaster at Bayern for a year.
There's always risk with young prospects, but Tel has not had that "uh oh, does this kid suck?" moment the way Sanches immediately had when he got his big move.
Sanches was also an international tournament wonder of course, always a red flag for over-valuation of a player.
Let's fucking give him a chance before we compare him to previous flops eh?
So you'd prefer to have been stuck with R.Sanchez on a 5 year deal, rather than giving him back to Bayern with a simple "thanks, but no thanks".....?

Those are figures from early summer, the landscape has shifted a lot since then and Man Utd themselves have told their fans they're close to breaching PSR.
Its not his first preference and he'll need convincing. We've everything agreed with Bayern but nothing agreed with him. That tells you the story. Hopefully we get it over the line but this was always going to be the hard part.

I'm on record in this thread as saying my ultimate preference with Tel is loan with option, not obligation, not straight purchase, not straight loan. Loan with option gives us the leeway to agree a deal with Tel if he works out, or send him back if he doesn't.
My point about Sanches is that it doesn't matter how much hype and promise Tel has behind him, just as Sanches had at that point, he could come here and completely fail to adapt to the league. I'd rather not spunk 50m outright on the off chance he does flop, but also rather not be left holding the bag in 6 months time as he agrees a big move to one of our direct rivals after we've just spent all that time adapting him to the league for them because we were too short-sighted or small time to agree an option in the loan.
