Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Trix on SC says, nice way of saying nothing at all really

All was looking good as of last night, and the club are hoping to tie things up today. Other clubs not offering the same terms as us, which Bayern favour.

I could add more but it's too early, and there is interest from elsewhere so things could still change. Whilst that is still the case it's not worth going into specifics. What the players and agents say to us is not always what they are thinking or doing behind closed doors.
Sky have literally said we have agreed a transfer, its up to the player.

Trix definitely writes horoscopes for his local newspaper doesn't he?

We know that but what has that got to do with anything?

Sky know fuck all. They were saying Spurs are in for him on loan and it took them hours to realise it was a perm deal despite loads of journalists confirming it was a perm offer.

Sky are usually the last media source to have a clue

At most Bundesliga clubs he'd be their highest paid player or one of the highest paid players, if Bayern want to move him off the wage bill this season only the likes of Dortmund or Leipzig would have a chance, and I've no idea how they're positioned to pay those wages.
Bayern M wants to keep Tel. It's Tel who wants to leave Bayern M because he want to play regularly. But if he's open to a loan only, and thus Bayern M can keep him, they may (my guess) be willing to pay part of his salary.

Those itkers are about as much use as a fart in a spacesuit.

Amorim backtracking on Rashford and praising Garnacho to stay..,

I’m obviously looking for it but these are positive signs.

We can say what we want, and there are still some gaps to be exploited, but FFP and PSR did its job. Even financial juggernauts like ManU need to first get rid of Rash or Garnacho to bring new big guys like Tel permanently. 10 years ago they would just buy new player and think about getting rid of expensive deadwood later.

EDIT: the moment i wrote it, the news of ManU contacting Tel were released. But still, point stands - they need to to shenanigans with loan stuff, not direct transfer
