Transfers January Transfer Thread 24/25

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

we are 15th in the league with an owner that prioritises other things and a manager thats beyond shit. What exactly did people expect?

Saying that, we need proven players for the wide positions and Tel seemed like an expensive project. Don't move on to Dibling now please ffs.

Cherky should be your top target. He has word class potential.
With the money of Tel you can sign Cherky plus Santiago Gimenez.

I still have Hatem Ben Afra and Adel Taarabt in mind when I see Cherky. Both had amazing skill...but lacked the discipline to develop it and be consistent.

Taarabt was another one.

I'll be honest I don't even care about not getting Tel. I'm not sure he was what we needed. Another "promising youngster"

I'm just sick and tired of the way that everything at our club is run with cut throat precision and professionalism apart from the football side of the business which is run like a Benny Hill sketch.

I'm tired of being the butt of the joke, the laughing stock.

Could have been worse I suppose he could have come over for the medical before mooning the screen revealing an Woolwich crest on his butt cheeks before getting in a taxi with Sol Campbell and going up the road to be unveiled there.

We are just so fucking micky mouse.
agree. Fuck Tel, he can go to someone else on loan then rock up back at Bayern after they "developed" him through his shit:

Because he does have shit that needs to be developed.

You're a bad bad lady.

I called it a few days ago that we would do an "we tried" transfer at the last knockings of this window. And that gullible people in our fanbase would lap it up and buy it.

Its absolutley nonsensical to me that you don't sound out if a player is interested before you make a bid.

We knew he wasn't fucking interested and Levy is probably sighing with relief that he doesn't have to fork out. All while further embarrassing our club and making us look absolutley tin pot.

Which is what he's best at.
Yeah and the chairman coming out to meet the player without concrete knowing he wants to sign? Only in rare circumstances should the chairman do this as a huge mark of respect ONCE you've got the player signed.....Otherwise you look like a major tool and small time club when this sort of thing happens!

8, absolutely not.

10 , if you play with one, yes.

But in our set up he plays wide right/drift around forward. Like Kulusevski but with ability and able to see a pass. Not just talk about it.

Like Johnson and Kulusevski he’s shot without the ball. But unlike them he’d be fucking useful against block defences.

For 20m I’d buy him just to have on your bench as a tool to use as and when.

Can you press with him in the team?

20m is a lot of money for a guy you can only use against very specific teams.

btw, we sign Cherki I'm over the moon. He's all the things I wish football still was. He's the reason Gazza makes you fall in love with football, he's the 90's and even early 2000's before data started taking over. I'm just not sure he can play in the PL.

At the end of the day it’s not this deal that’s the issue. We obviously loved him, he was never keen, tried to convince him, it didn’t work. Fine. It happens. It’s more the inaction of getting to this point with no reinforcements and the clock ticking.
This deal is all part of the "Illusion of ambition" that Levy wants to project.

Many of us aren't buying it any more, Tel certainly wasn't fooled.

Levy realising he’s made Spurs a no go for genuine talent now. Acts of desperation on the way for the weekend to get anyone over the line. Otherwise he knows what’s ahead at the next home game
