Dont know why we're scratching around for players that barely improve us. Even without Romero we can call on Davies, Gray, Danso and VDV at centre back. We're maxed out for European squad places anyway. Yesterday took the pressure off a bit in the league. If you can improve the first team or buy a great youngster then fine but otherwise dont bother. I'd rather a youngster get minutes than this years Danjuma or Werner.

Really dont think Lange has covered himself with glory the last 2 windows, even with the usual constraints.

I agree with you that Spence is a better CB than Dragusin ( in this system) however if he is playing CB we lose his threat as a wing back, If Spence keeps this form up he is literally the first name on the sheet over Porro and Udogie.

Well, we aren't getting a starter for any side at this stage of the season so if we want a player in, it has to be either someone playing at a level below us, or someone who is out of favour and not getting into a starting lineup....

Perhaps he doesnt fit into their team right now - who knows - but he was pretty decent last season

Either way i agree a loan would be the best thing we could do for that, or any stop gap

Have to agree - Spence pocketed him and he ran out of ideas. Hes a transition player good at running behind as I thought tbh. Not sure he has much more in his locker and for the money talked about don't think we should be anywhere near it.

Spence pretty much pocketed Salah in the League Cup first leg. I'm not sure that having trouble against Spence is an indication that the player isn't good.

Spence after two year sabbatical from ball turning into prime era H where you genuinely wished there were two of them. Complete plot twist.

The problem most people have with Johnson is that he doesn't do the defensive cover work for Porro, which is kinda essential with Porro abandoning RB duties on a regular basis. We end up with two players on the right who are targetted by opposition teams playing a fast counter.

I think Johnson is an excellent wide forward fwiw. I think a lot of the abuse he gets is because of his percieved lack of contribution when we don't have the ball.

He gets an unnecessary amount of dogs abuse, he's not a system fit and that's absolutely not his fault, even with not really having the qualities that would suit the RW in this Ange system he has still contributed a ton of G+A for a young player, I think we'd have no bother getting our money back and then some for him if we came to the decision to sell him in the summer, I could see Frank at Brentford looking to replace Mbeumo with Johnson if he goes in Summer, not to mention Forest may well get CL and decide to bring him back. He would be phenomenal in an aggressive counter-attacking system that put him in open space more often than we do.
