He changed it up yesterday , away from home against a tough team we managed to dig in and win, one of my biggest gripes with him was he didn't seem to have a plan b, it was all out attack or nothing, lets see how he does away at Liverpool when the aim of the game is just don't lose - get to the final and I might start eating some humble pie!

Initially said option to buy, but later backtracked and said straight loan (looking at fresh info on his phone).

Apparently he’s friends with Odobert having come through the French youth ranks, so should settle quickly which may influence his decision if we’re keen to make it permanent in the summer.

Wayne Rooney was the same age when he went to United. 77 games 17 goals for Everton. Tel has 16 goals in 83 games. I'd guess a lot of those 83 are subs though, whereas Rooney was a starter for Everton pretty much from his debut.

Actually I can’t as my argument was we were never serious about signing him and Levy was playing us . So even if Ange got it over the line the deal was there to be done and I was adamant it wasn’t .

A 6 month loan with zero option to buy for a 19 year old with limited minutes and mostly raw talent is definitely not 'enough'

Yeah. I see where you're coming from.
If he stays at Bayern or signs for a European club fair enough. But if he gets his PL experience with us then finishes up signing for a PL rival in the summer that's highly unpalatable.
Having NO option to buy just seems really fucking weird.

Exactly this. If he comes good, could significantly increase our chances of winning Europa. A significant trophy, CL for next year. So even as a loan, can be huge.

Sadly too late for Pool on Thursday I assume.
But Villa for the weekend?
