We should give AI a try. It'll be cheaper than those human beings that keep letting us down, it could be programmed to look & sound like Bill Nicholson and it might actually make some good decisions.

You call out the losing mentality of the club, which is fair. I think that's now become apparent to all.
But then you call out our fans for being fickle and entitled.
How the fuck can our fans be Entitled when we haven't won fuck all for the best part of a quarter of a century.
We probably have the most patient, least entitled fans of any big club in the country

The fans have a massive loser mentality.
Getting behind a useless chairman, coaches and often players in the name of "support" is the very definition of loser mentality.
Winners are ruthless. You don't let sentiment get in the way of success.

Most patient …….due to lack of silverware, success 100% agree, new manager 17months ?

Didn't Xavi won them their first title in 5 or 6 years? Not a bad achievement when your main rival is Real rather than Rangers.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't replace him.
I’m sorry this is a fucking stupid take. Why are you comparing Real to Rangers? Are you gonna compare Celtic to Barcelona too? All relative innit. Barca v Real is pretty much exactly Celtic vs Rangers but at a different level of stature/finances/quality of league.

People moan that Ange only won the leave in Scotland as he only has one serious rival. See Xavi

I'm not saying he did poorly by any measure, but he clearly wasn't equipped to deal with the pressures of being the manager of a huge club like Barcelona, already making plans to resign in his 2nd season due to the sheer stress of dealing with their weird squad registration issues and complete clusterfuck of finances. There is probably a great coach in there but he clearly had too much to learn in too short a space of time to properly succeed at Barcelona; it's not really his fault, but they seriously need to be getting to the semis of the CL every year to secure the immediate financial health of the club. Thing is as well when you look at their squad on paper, its phenomenal, at a bare minimum very comparable with Real's, who have spent the last decade hoovering up every CL going.

It's not so much the fact they went out in the QF vs PSG last season and more the manner in which they went out, collapsing to a 4-1 defeat at home from 1-0 up due to a red card was ample display of a lack of contingency plan and a level of savvy pragmatism required to get over the line in the biggest competitions, something I think is mirrored with Ange very much. It was a key criticism of him all throughout his tenure actually, when the opposition weren't overawed to be playing vs Barcelona they could be made to look very ordinary on the break, I remember vividly Frankfurt utterly picking them apart over and over again with only like 25-30% possession at the Camp Nou. Both of Barca's goals in the 3-2 loss came in added time at the end of 90, their 2nd was pretty much the last kick of the game. If you watch that game you'd swear you were watching a replay of one of our games from the tail end of last or start of this season lol.

LMFAO.

You and Ange deserve eachother.

No Ryan Mason option? Sean Dyche? Sam Allerdyce?

Literally the first post. 👇

I'm not a bastion of football knowledge. I've had a small read up on some of the less household names on my list to see if they fit the bill of decent football and often getting more from a team than the sum of its parts.
If you can think of others to add, I will.

I think there's more out there than we fans really know of tbh.

Southgate can fuck off.

Bringing this thread back into the mix with Ange favourite to be the next PL manager sacked, and Villa game looks like it could be the catalyst.

My 2 cents

I don't want Mason 3.0 so Levy better have someone waiting to go which makes me think it'll be someone currently unemployed. That means Terzic looks a shoe in but not for me. Fairly divisive character who is more stubborn than Ange.

If we wait to the summer for the perceived over achievers (Iraola, Frank, Silva) , then the fan base will be divided as none of those names is universally wanted.

Don't see Poch coming to the rescue, not even as an interim to the end of the season.

McKenna maybe? Ipswich are still in with an outside chance of staying up so doubt we could get him now. Then there the outside interim like Southgate. This would absolutely ramp up the Levy out noise which might be why he's sticking with Ange.

The more we look at it, the more it would appear Ange is safe until the summer but Mason 3.0 is the plan if Ange leaves before the end of season.

With Slot in at Liverpool and Kompany looking safe at Bayern I do think Alonso's options are narrowing. Could we tempt him? Probably not.

It may take a year or two (for Anchelotti to retire) but Alonso is waiting on Madrid … unfortunately

Carlos Ancelotti will be available in the summer.
Yes he is a pedigree manager but so what?
He has been very good at every club including Everton.
And he is not a defensive manager.
