Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Our 1st choice midfield has been available the last 2 matches and it’s relatively fresh. Yet it’s been our weakest area of the pitch, offering such little defensive cover and attacking threat. That’s the system and instructions- you can see how badly coached we are.

The stats showed we ran more than Liverpool - we just ran around like a disorganised rabble.
So the players are giving 100% but the quality isn't there? Ohh big shock there

Think that's what happens when you spend lest on transfer fee's and wages...

Deflecting criticism by hiding behind young players and guilt-tripping fans with “These 18/19-year-olds are doing their best, don’t you dare speak badly of them” is as cowardly as it gets, exactly what I’d expect from this gaslighting egomaniac.

The vast majority of criticism is aimed squarely at him, not the players. Yet, instead of addressing it head-on, he resorts to emotional manipulation and gaslighting to shield himself.

And as for the whole “It doesn’t bother me what people say about me” Of course it does. If it didn’t he wouldn’t be scrambling to dodge every ounce of scrutiny with this kind of transparent bullshit.

Such a grifter and he’s doing a real con job at this football club.

Can’t stand him.
spot on! youve nailed him for the piece of shit he is. horrible fucking coward too.

I remember last year the argument was always that because we weren’t in Europe and we got knocked out of both domestic cups early, we weren’t playing enough games to get into a rhythm.

This year, the argument has been that we’ve been playing too many games so we’re suffering with fatigue and injuries.

There just always seems to be some sort of excuse. Lots of other teams seem to manage fine, why can’t we?

I think it’s more fundamental than that ; regardless of fixtures, players bought or not bought, injuries etc .

It just isn’t working; regardless of how much everyone wants it to .

It may not sound scientific; but that’s often the best reason to try something new .

I get all of those frustrations my friend, I do. They're good points and absolutely valid. Which is why you should level them completely at Levy and the board as Ange is not to blame for 90% of those things.

I'm sure he has his part to play as many would, but we've seen those issues before.

Haven't we?
I guess we have. It’s quite the Groundhog Day experience.

Agree.

That was exactly brought up to ange In a press conference that last season he complained that there wasn't enough games without Europe.
Now he says it's too many, can't recall what his response was but I think he kinda blew it off by saying he was kinda misquoted about not enough games

Xavi and the Dortmund guy are unemployed.

If the are going to do it and give that new coach any time to get their ideas in play before the EL, then they need to go with one of the guys that is out of a job. No chance they are going to be able to get the negotiation done in time for any coach who is currently employed.

I doubt Mason or Wells would take it on tbh and if they did, the would likely continue in a very similar vein to how we are playing now.

Mason and Wells should follow him out the door. Neither should be within a million miles of this Club.

Ange has said himself he was a driver behind recruiting so young this summer and now again in January.

He has probably done us an incredible favour 2-3 years down the line as long as we don't find a way to fuck this up with some of this talent we have now but if it costs him his job then that was the gamble he took.
Agree. He gambled and lost. To dig deeper in to the idea about the future being bright makes me a bit cross…

I don’t remember the press release that said we didn’t have to pay full price / increased ticket prices for the next 2-3 years because we would not be competing in that period of time.

I don’t remember Levy talking about the pensioners concessions with this reduced experience in mind.

I wonder if AIA or NIke, or whichever two bit sleeve sponsors we kraken on with have a 50% reduction on their sponsorship deals while the heart of it all embarrass itself week after week on the pitch or in front of millions on the idiots lantern.

Who is going to plug the millions wasted by not being even in the shit European competition for years ahead?

How's the business model going to blossom with the reduced league placing prize money ?

Plan ahead. Which one of these stars of the future are going to be sold first ? Because I can tell you the years of pain coming up will guarantee that that fantasy project won’t ever actually exist. Not under Deadly Dan.

Are we seriously meant to think that none of these things matter for the next few years while we let a 60 year old journey man who had won the same as Kevin Muscat take our expectations down a peg or two ?

This is an insane experience.

We are meant to be a competitive sporting club. Yet these bright sparks who are so clever with the kids currently offer up a have a bunch of midfielders who don’t even tackle across a whole game.

These people can’t be trusted to run a bath, yet they are the ones who are going to make us believe in the future. Nah. Sorry. Not seeing it anymore.

They all need to be fucked off out of it.

He's not the first manager to admit this so this old chestnut is not really the issue.

What I think is more glaring is the fact he isn't rotating what he has, even IF it isn't good enough.

You can't tell me a completely knackered Kulu is a better option than Ajayi on the right?

He is saying that the players are out on their feet?

Quite obvious that the second half we were a lot better when those same players should have been more fatigued?

That was due to a change in tactics not tired players.

He's hiding behind his ineptness.
These players are out on their feet. So he continues to bench the one actual left back so he can play a right back at left back.

He’s a system / formation first manager and he is an absolute joke. Across all of these months that he played Regulion once frankly says it all. Is Regulion brilliant ? No. Is he capable of putting in more than 45 minutes ? Yes.

Fuck off Ange.

PS. Keep saying how much better we will be with the other players back is hardly the ringing endorsement of the players who are currently playing that Ange seems to think it is…

Might as well say, we are shit at the moment because this lot are shit. Dumb bastard.

Everyone needs to relax. Watch the superbowl. Sleep it off. 7 days till our next game and then another 7 day break before Ipswich. The team need this rest. I think we'll be a totally different team after this rest.

In Ange we trust!

(I)t has been suggested that Spurs’ clearer schedule could be an advantage. Postecoglou is not so sure.

“Definitely, yeah,” Postecoglou replied, when asked whether he wanted more games. “For a club like us who want to compete at the highest level, you need a strong squad and to have a strong squad you need consistent games and opportunities.

“At the moment, if we get an injury then we’re liable to throw somebody in who hasn’t played for four or five weeks. It’s not easy on that player. Whereas if you’ve got games there’s a natural rotation you need to make all the time and also gives you a bit of rhythm.

“I had the other extreme at Celtic [playing 60 games in 2021-22 and 53 last season]. I found that a lot easier to manage. If you ask me would I rather be in Europe? Absolutely, 1,000%. I’d rather be in Europe at this time playing games.”

I wouldn't want Gala over 2 legs to be honest. I know that sounds crazy but we aren't ready for that.

In terms of who to beat, I think both Lazio and Bilbao can cause us serious problems. ManU less so.
Frankfurt and Lyon not to be sniffed at either.

Nothing sounds crazy at this juncture. We've just seen 190 minutes of bloody dreadful cup footy. Any organised team with pace up front will cause us problems.

Fact is that returning players will take a couple of games if not weeks to get fully up to speed. It's not the cure-all that some proclaim it to be.

Fifty-eight years after my first match and I can safety say that this is the worst Spurs I’ve ever seen. And Ange is the worst manager we’ve ever had. I’ve never seen such inept performances overseen by such a clueless clown.
