Sleepy GIF

Truly a Ba (y) zian analysis.

What were the chances of that !

Trust me ; you’ll figure it out soon enough. And still have time for your nap ( probably) .

A lot of fools being parted with their money...
Probably not that many fools and not that much money actually.

A very clever economist Spurs fan (Hi Maurice!) who worked in the industry told me that the markets for new managers are really small, even more so when the existing man hasn't been sacked yet.

You could probably stick a fiver on Hoddle and he'd appear by magic in the top ten.

I'd be having a big bet on Iarola at 11/2! I'd price it up a 6/4 shot. I think he will be the main target in the Summer and I don't see why he wouldn't come. Its a great stepping stone job for him as he wouldn't be offered the Real Madrid or Bayern jobs just yet

Needed to take Bournemouth down last year to get that chance :cautious: :D

There’s a reason why Kompany went to Bayern before Iraola would.

It’s an uncomfortable truth but if you want to recruit big players, or at least get the respect of big players, your manager needs huge charisma and/or they need a track record of winning things as a player or coach.

I hate it personally because the best coach should get forward first but it is the way it is. And it’s something the club will be aware of when looking at Iraola as a candidate.

Would there be even the slightest chance we could chuck a skip full of cash at Emery to take over? Maybe he’s going to feel constrained with Villa’s financial situation?

The lack of support for Ange with no transfer is disgraceful. Go back to when we sold Kane, 99% of other clubs have a replacement lined up…

To be honest, 15th in the league sounds about right considering the way we operate in the transfer market and the wages we pay.

We bought Richarlison the year before you fruit loop.
Our planning ahead is second to none!

So if you're feeling constrained with a financial situation you turn to Levy?

Wouldn't that be like hooking up with Lily Phillips, because your wife is a nymphomaniac, and you wanted a period of celibacy?

I do take with a pinch of salt everything that's written on football sites.. but it does make sense that Iraola wanna wait until the summer before committing himself to Bournemouth and that Spurs are interested in him...

Andoni Iraola’s stance on new Bournemouth contract amid Tottenham interest

Graeme Bailey – chief correspondent at TBR Football can confirm that Bournemouth are keen to tie down Andoni Iraola to a new contract, but they have not yet opened talks with their highly-rated head coach.

The Spaniard has never been keen on signing a long-term deal thus far in his career, but things are set to change.

TBR understands that Bournemouth spoke with Iraola’s camp before Christmas, but the manager has thus far insisted that he wants to wait and not disrupt the campaign.

However, Bournemouth are increasingly worried by interest emerging in their coach.

TBR Football can confirm that Tottenham Hotspur have done their work on Iraola, as the club do their due diligence on potential replacements for Ange Postecoglou.

We can reveal that before Pep Guardiola committed to a new deal at Manchester City, Iraola was on their ‘long list’ of potential replacements.

The 42-year-old was also discussed by Liverpool’s hierarchy as they looked at their options to replace Jurgen Klopp last year. Richard Hughes knew him well, but it was deemed too early in his managerial journey.

Bournemouth are determined to keep Iraola, and sources have told TBR Football that they are ‘confident’ that the Spaniard will commit to the Vitality Stadium – given the backing they have shown him since landing him in 2023 when he left Rayo Vallecano.

We are in a much better financial state than Villa and their close to FFP figures and 95% wage to turnover ratio.

And we spend money. Just not on the right players. And not so much on wages. But it’s there and it’s not at Villa.

How about Sebastian Hoeneß???

Has a good idea on how to identify youth talent & be able to bring teams back to form.

Explain to me (me being a Bayern Munich fan since about 2006) why you think they hired Kompany for Bayern Munich?

As always you know I'm always good faith so if you could explain your take I would like to hear it because Kompany failed at Burnley & I shan't comment on his 'charisma' as I don't play for him.

Regarding the attractiveness of a club it's not just the manager it's also down to the potential of success or learning potential IE Silverware also it's wages - most players see Spurs as a bouncing point to better achievements :-

All joined at PEAK but left

Modric
Bale
Kane
JUDAS
Gazza
Lineka
Trippier
Walker

José had 'Big Charisma' what happened during his signings???
