Marco Silva with another big win against Forest today.

Fulham have what nearly everyone on here would consider a trash squad, and yet Silva has them producing far more than Ange.

Adama Traore maybe in the best form of his life right now. Silva has figured out how to not only improve Traore where several others have failed, but also how to restore Raul Jiminez's career, at age 33, after it was seemingly finished.

If anyone can fix those issues, certainly they have a good claim on being able to exorcise the boogiemen haunting our club.

Bournemouth picking up more points- looking poised to pip Forest to the last CL spot. City look resurgent with the addition of Marmoush. Forest starting to stumble, and looking like they will slip further down the table. I have to believe Iraola would stay with Bmouth another season to give a CL campaign a try if they qualify. That would be negative for our attempts to sign him.

100 % agree ; but Silva is working at a ( by EPL standards) small club , with journeymen players and cast-offs .

Expectations are low : Fulham fans would bite your arm off for a guaranteed top half finish; and a 1.5 plus ppg is above and beyond.

We’re not Fulham , yet ; although we seem to be getting there , gradually.

THEN ; he’ll make sense as our next appointment. But as I said; we’re not quite there yet .Hopefully.

I don't really see how him being at Fulham means he couldn't do well for us. In fact I think the context in which he has operated is underappreciated, even by folks such as yourself which see them (correctly) as a lower-midtable/relegation candidate level club each season.

I would like Iraola- I just think it's unlikely he'll be available to us in the summer.

It’s a very fair point; Poch etc

You’re probably on the right track ; the only problem is that it ultimately comes down to a “ good fit “ coupled with a few stars coming into alignment. Again a bit like Poch .

Oh and Danny et al making the right decision ( on whatever basis they do that ) .

I suspect we’re in the lap of the gods .

Our two best managers in the PL came from Portsmouth and Southampton.

Working at a smaller club doesn’t mean you can’t do the job at a bigger one. You have to be able to separate the man from the club and consider their qualities as a manager.

Silva improves players, he’s tactically astute and he’s experienced at this level. The biggest issue with him or any manager is whether they would accept Levy’s transfer policy. He will only be allowed to add teenagers and opportunistic punts rather than established players.

Can we add Pep to the list? Think he is done at city and needs a new challenge , after we get bought out he would have millions to spend plus I’m sure he would like to win something at a club where Jose and Conte both failed!

Moyes has got Everton COOKING. They are above WHAM and UTD who both sacked him.
He's very underrated. If he was given more time at United, they might have been off to something alot better than now IMHO. Not pleasing on the eyes perhaps, but very effective, even better with higher calibre of players United have and could have gotten.

I always wonder if Roberto Martinez could manage a Portugal team and now Spain, Moyes could have too.

Why doesn’t Danny give the Manager’s role over to the TFC forum ; possibly on a month by month trial basis ?
I've said it before, I'll say it again.

The only solution is to give the manager's job to...

The Internet!

Any head-coach Spurs hire will come with a risk factor. And, despite of what some of you say, it is a big difference between managing teams like Fulham, Brentford and Bournemouth compared to Tottenham. There's a (much) stronger pressure - from fans, media attention and the (unrealistic) expectations - that comes with that job at Spurs. Added to that is dealing with Levy & Lewis and the rest of the board.
I do believe that Iraola and Marco Silva can make the next step up (well, right now as it stands joining Spurs would be kind of stepping down for both of them EPL table-position wise:cool: ) and do well at Spurs but it may not be as smooth as some may believe...
