Can someone explain why Spence, Kulu and Son were on the bench? Fucking stupid decisions

if they had played and we lost 1-0 what would be the focus for the blame?

We lost to a marginally better team. Could have got a point, could have lost by more.

It was a result that just reflected the reality of where this team is atm, regardless of what team we picked.

At least now we can see those 3 changed the game when they came in and we have something to be confident about when we start them against AZ.

I do completely get the need for rotation, especially coming out of our injury crisis.

But football is about confidence as well, Spence MOTM for our last three or four games, Son his best game in a long long time vs Ipswich and Kulu having played well. All benched when the team start to get on a good run of form against a side which were there for the taking tonight.

All with a week to recover, it’s completely different when we are playing 2/3 times a week but terrible decision to rest all three 🤦‍♂️

When Oderbert was getting somewhere he hooks him. Puts an ineffective Son there. Doesn’t work and takes off a horrible Tel and puts Son fuck knows where. Then hammers home his lack of know how by bringing on Werner who no one trusts. No one passes to and is absolutely dog shit.

As to where Kulu was playing and where Maddison went. I’ve no clue. And nor does Ange.

I am surprised Johnson was not bought on second half.
