Why was there a huge corner of the ground empty? Were AZ fans banned?
Parrott could have scored a couple and that was an incident packed game!
AZ equalised but the goal was scrubbed off because VAR gave a pen at the other end.
We were indeed banned due to some disturbances in previous editions. A typical case of a small group ruining it for the rest.

Parrott should have scored, he has been out of form in the last few matches and is visibly tired on the field. He has already played more matches than the entire previous season, and you can see that in him. Unfortunately, his backup is also injured, so he has to play. However, he can undoubtedly charge up for a match against 'his' Tottenham

I'd be very surprised not to see Son start on the left. Scarlett holds the ball up better than Tel - who is out of form and confidence - so def the better choice for me, although Ange seems less keen to play Dane, and we really will have the ball coming back at us if Tel starts.

You can argue to play Deki on the right instead of BJ and Maddison through the centre which is a solid selection choice. I suspect BJ will get the start though after the goals at Ipswich.

AZ are sixth in the Eredivisie, they have lost to Heerenveen, Ferencvaros and Sparta Rotterdam in recent weeks, although surprised Ajax and Roma. Important to not give them too much respect, the main thing is to not give away anything too easily - so Porro needs to sit this one out.
Dane won’t start a game for us. With Dom due to come back he’ll be even further away from even getting on the pitch. Brennan will only start if he leaves madders on the bench. If madders starts,Deki will play on the right.

VdV is closer to being done for the season than playing here. I'm not as certain about Romero's whereabouts, but I don't see him playing either.

Vicario
Porro-Danso-Gray (Davies)-Spence
Bergvall-Bentancur-Maddison
Kulusevski-Solanke*-Son
Udogie is not that big of a defensive upgrade, if an upgrade at all, over Porro to warrant having him out there. I don't see Ange moving away from that midfield trio anytime soon unless his hand is forced to it. And the rest of the lineup pretty much pick themselves, with the possible exception of Solanke.

It's hard to be confident of a result given the way we have been handing chances and goals out like candy for months, and Dutch teams in particular don't have a hard time with scoring. But we should still be getting a favourable result here, no excuses.

Surprised Kulusevski lasted this long with the amount of games he has played.

Whoaaa...that is pretty crazy but Dejan Kulusevski has played in every single Spurs game this season (!)
Total of 42 appearances already.
In 7 of them he has played less than 45 minutes.
And additionally 4 times he has played exactly one half (all in EL).
Total minutes played - 3054, equal to 34 full games.

On top of that he has played all 6x90 for Sweden, so 3594 minutes or 40 (!) full games already.

Hope we'll get through fine without him in away game vs AZ.
