He never really takes responsibility in terms of how the team play. He just gives a vague it’s my responsibility but never says I got it wrong or like that! He always says what was wrong after the game but never occurs to him during the game what is wrong and what he should do. If the team looked like they weren’t motivated or at them sub some of the fuckers give them a bollocking .

Remember it needs a functioning team and other team mates to actually lay on the tap ins. His basically like an old school goal hanger. Which would be ok if he was an out and out CF but he’s a fucking wide player whose meant to contribute to the overall team play and also create for HIS team mates.

How many years have son Ange and co been in the game. Surely they must have taken it seriously especially after the results and performances we had this season. If not then it beggars belief that they could be so unprofessional and not get themselves up for this game.
What do get is the almost denial of things being bad by him and that he never really says or looks as if he gives a shit. I don’t think he cares. He gets his £5M yr and is happy with that and if as it has goes tits up he’ll just blame everyone and the club. It’s a win win.

Additionally Rich (27), Solanke (27), Werner (29), Forster (36), Davies (31), Porro (25), Kulu (24), Vicario (28) are not inexperienced so-called kids either. Additionally; Johnson (24 in May - 1 x promotion & 3 EPL seasons)..... VDV (24 in April - his 4th season in a top league)... Danso (26)... Dragusin (23).... Spence (24..... eh?/how?). Udogie & Sarr both have a few seasons of senior football under their belt.
The "Spurs = a bunch of kids" shit is grossly exaggerated.
In reality...... The so-called kids:
Berg, Gray, Moore, Odobert (EPL exp.), Kinski(*), Tel (BL/CL exp*)........ Scarlet (kinda, I guess*)
(*3 of the 6 weren't even in the squad at the start of the season!)
None of this is to say the leadership situ doesn't need fixing; but the claim that we ignored the need for senior influence is false.

Thank you - I also am getting tired of the 'Team of Kids' Narrative as well.
None of those were bought last summer when signing proven PL quality was needed. Our recruitment of “clever” footballers has been beyond pathetic. They’re either being too naive themselves or being coached to play that way. I suspect it’s a bit of both.
Not sure if I did or not but I fail to see how he could be any worse. Gray is only 18 and given lots of games. His done ok. Other clubs give thier kids a chance. We have fans always making excuse to not play them. Just give them a chance otherwise how else we going to know. If we can given unproven players like Tel a go then why not our own!

Gray is the exception rather than the norm.
But yeah just carry on dreaming about us playing all the kids week in week out.
1. Your complaint referenced both 18 months AND the summer/season we let go of the Lloris, Kane & Dier (*)..... Like I said; the initially mentioned 5 were expected to step up to that mantle. (Maddison even put himself front and center of that narrative when he signed.)

*Ironically; HL (crap captain), HK (too quiet), Dier (shit, dumb player) & the also mentioned PE (crap, "pussy"/coward, "hider") were all criticised in this respect before they left.
We've gone from you specifically talking about "leadership" (the former captaincy group) and "seniority" (age and standing in the squad) to, now, a broad and less directly defined "cleverness".... I responded to the former 2.
We have massive coaching issues; 'most' people accept that now........ Is Ange-ball (be that the system or coaching) specifically 'dumbing-down' our senior players? It's an interesting theory. What we can safely conclude is that if we were to make a list of our best players this season; they are all (for all intents and purposes) having their first season in the team:
Solanke
Spence
Gray
Bergval (last week's own goal not withstanding.)
Either way; for some reason NO senior players - esp. the 5 I listed - are stepping up to demand higher standards when on the pitch (the perception for many is that Kulu & Vicario are the closest we have to captaincy material moving fwd..... Some also cite Gray now if you look at the last few pages of his thread). The fact is you don't even need to be "clever" to demand more from your colleagues in order to shake them out of flacid non-performances such as last Thursday.... You just need to give fuck.
