He was last minute dot com whichever way Ange wanted to spin it saying we had been looking at him for ages. Pure BS.
Even if we beat them , there is not a chance we can get through the next round with the 2nd leg away from home , this team has no bollocks for a fight in a hostile atmosphere .
We should put this myth that under Ange we are high tempo high pressing front foot attacking team. Since been here there is probably only a handful of games where have played like that and in most of those games it’s only been one half or 20 min spell where we have bagged 2/3 goals.

We’re only really a front foot attacking team cos we fall behind so often at home that it looks like that but in reality we are chasing the game and any tactics ( if he even has any) go out the window . Away from home it doesn’t work because the players don’t feel the pressure to attack .
If the players have give up on the coach and thus this comp, they're making huge mistake.
It really doesn't matter who is in charge, the fact is most professional players never win a valued trophy. Some great players have missed out through the years. George Best never even got the chance to play at a World Cup forget about winning one.
Chances for most don't come around that often. A career in top level sport is not a long time. Nobody should be throwing away the chances that do present themselves.

Ange could have started with our "spine" trouble with Aussie Joe is that he doesn't know what a backbone is, he doesn't possess one.
Said it so many times the guy offers nothing for a £50M footballer. Yes score some goals which are mostly laid on a plate for but it requires the opposite winger to create the magic. How often can we say Johnson creates for Son or Oddjob or whoever plays LW. Shocking g decision to buy him. I never wanted him at all especially for the price. Now we have players like oddjob as well fir £25M, Tel on loan for fee of £10M plus wages, vrliz £15M, Werner on £165K / wk, Yang etc. Not one of them is actually much better than say Moore, Dane or Will who have been given f all minutes in the PL. Shocking transfer policy and overall football development by the club.
We had 8 days to ‘prepare’ for this game having given up on the city home game. Last season was the same when we had some big gaps between games and our performances were crap. I remember the goons game at home we were terrible and they had played BM I think.
Only bcos the forward who came on for the useless tel got injured.
Thing is he shows no faith in our academy players. He could have put Dane on at HT for Tel but no he moves Son to CF and brings on another young player purchased for hefty sum. Then brings on our own very expensive CF who’s just back from injury. All the while a fit young CF sits on the bench.
How much have we forked out that little trio?
Dane and Will can’t even get minutes for lower league teams.

Well Dane did score v the German team we played. They may not be the answer but nor are players like tel, Wilson , Johnson , Werner all of whom we have paid good money for!
I’d rather give our academy players minutes than these guys. Bring back players like Alfie and donley let’s try to build the squad with a good core of academy players who would die to play for spurs. Not a bunch of unproven unknowns from wherever. We have shown time and again we buy crap for good money. Save the money or just go and buy proven quality players in their mid 20s and integrate with our own youth players. The goal adeji scored the other week you can tell he has good technical skill and is brave. I’ve yet to see Johnson ever try something like that and he cost £50M. These guys may not be the finished article but with a good a coach they could be. The ones playing now stealing minutes are never gonna be the finished article.
After 8 days which he boasted about after city game that he’d have time now to work with the players , lol!
