Interesting why do so many want Iraola and not Fabian Hürzeler then? Brighton play better than Bournemouth, they've just gone above them too .
Why's one the hipsters choice , and the other isn't

First time visitor to this thread ............think it's about time we took out the "hypothetically" out of this thread's title!

Because Bournemouth are struggling and they are slow to adjust to the next new thing

Probably that bald prick tactico Jon Mackenzie needs to do more hipster content about Hurzeler for them to clock it first

If we don't get Iraola, I wouldn't be too disappointed if we'd get Glasner. Palace had a pretty crap start of the season but they have top 4 form for a while now. Last season when he took over they also were very strong.

Which is why Silva could actually work with the miser.
:gallashmm:

Silva can be an excellent coach for us. Iraola will have better suitors than us this coming summer. Nuno is the other standout Prem manager but of course he won’t be interested in us.

Silva is actually gettable. I think he has a weaker squad than Bournemouth and is doing similarly in terms of overperformance with what he’s got. I think he’s got something to prove and would be excellent for us. At the very least he knows how to set up a side for consistent performance in the Prem- which is a lot more than can be said of most our targets- especially the foreign ones.

Brighton were after McKenna before Hurzeler. Kieron chose to sign a new contract at Ipswich.
Compare McKenna against what Hurzeler did in Germany. I would say it stands up to it, if not better. Two promotions in a row and decent effort to stay up, might still happen. Played most of this season with players who were in the third div.
Of course he is not foreign so cannot be any good. Give him a go. Arguable that what he has done is better than winning the league with Celtic.

McKenna is a very promising coach. Has Spurs connections too. If he came, I'd support him but this fanbase would be calling him a fraud in no time. They would say he has no experience at a top 6 Pl club and can't attract top talent. The player power would rear it's head as well when they all decide they have better playing careers than him and know better than he does.

He'd probably end up getting sacked after his first poor run.

is he using a system that suits the current squad build?

I have no idea tbh but I remember talk of him when we first sacked Conte because he likes wing backs. We have completely moved away from a squad build for wing backs, we have about 20 wing forwards on the books atm. Is he also a press and high line guy? because VDV and Danso aren't going to work in a sit deep and counter system as well as they do in a high line, pressing system.

Brighton is more about the club operations than the manager, if you ask me.

Ironically, Paul Barber was executive director when supporting Spurs was peak-fun under Redknapp.

We should sack Munn and Lange with Ange, and hire Paul Barber and David Weir. If that means bringing Hurzeler, too, then so be it.

I rate Hurzeler but I think he’s too young for a step up. Besides Bayern Munich will come calling for him soon and he ain’t turning that down…..
