Thanks for this, makes perfect sense to someone who appreciates a game of football in the way that I do and not try to bamboozle with the latest jargon and over analysis.
Football is a simple game and a thing of beauty in its simplicity, when played in the spirit it was intended.
In his defence, I think Ange is trying to do just that, but he just won't accept that it doesn't work in the PL and with the players at his disposal.
Thank you I do get things right sometimes or so my wife tells me 😁

Big game today and some big decisions to be made.

Three points won’t mean anything really, but hopefully would mean we’ve seen a few green shoots of recovery. Players coming back fresh against others who have played a long season already. Might be a strong end to the season.

However, playing after a European match, early on a Sunday, before a break? Never our best time.

As for the big decisions, do we play a strong side to get minutes into some players? Build match fitness? Or protect the first team for Europe? Tough choices.

It's a dead rubber today unfortunately, its all about EL

Haha, exemptions duly granted!

I should have said modern piss-poor journo-driven portmanteaus.

-ball, -gate, -exit (Frexit! Grexit! Spexit!). There must be more.

(checks today's Woolwich Guardian)

Oooh, "Trumpcession". Cosmic.

Now I’m on board

A ban on lazy trite portmanteaus!!

All this joining of words has got me really fired up for the game COYS

Reckon we're due a dodgy win today, Big Dom with a goal.

Incredible to see so many people claiming these league games don't mean anything. Europa's obviously the priority, but any success in that theatre is in part influenced by momentum we build elsewhere - especially in a deeply inconsistent and disrupted squad.

Good team, protecting players for Europa , and getting minutes into those who need it
Just probably would've went Scarlett over solanke but guess he wants to see tel and solanke link up.
Gray in midfield I assume and not that weird back 3 experiment

Have Tottenham stopped playing Ange-ball?

That is a genuine question we must ponder. The swashbuckling and relentless attacking patterns we saw during Ange Postecoglou's first 10 games in charge last season are now just a distant memory. They were creating 2.4 big chances per game back then to a backdrop of 17.8 shots per game. It was exciting.

Well, compare that to what they've produced in their last 15 games and there's an argument to suggest Ange-ball is no more. That big chance creation figure is down to 1.4 per game and they've only averaged 11.67 shots per game across that 15-game sample size. They were second-best against Bournemouth last weekend, pulling on some lady luck and some bizarre decision-making from Kepa Arrizabalaga to pinch themselves a point.

Fulham are a savagely organised team defensively under Marco Silva and it's easy to foresee them limiting this flagging Spurs attack to crumbs in terms of chances created. The home win looks good at Evens with Sky Bet.

SCORE PREDICTION: 2-0

No creativity in midfield. Need really strong game from Tel and Spence cause i dont see anyone else who can generate something in attack for Solanke and Johnson.
