Bournemouth have very much ceased to pull up trees. Definitely better than Ange of course.
A lot of the performances have been far better than their results recently.

They were well worth 3pts at WHL, couldve been an embarrassing scoreline. Conceded 2 daft goals and as for their chances!

They were well worth 3pts against Brentford (who are very difficult to play away from home).

They are producing lots of good chances, you just dont expect little B'mouth to afford the sort of strikers that will put them away.

He's a very sharp coach, and a good judge of a player.

Just those 2 games go the way they wouldve with a modicum of luck theyd be on 5th with City and we'd all be salivating over the Messiah. Insane for a team with 11,000 crowds, no fan base, no history, in Div 4 15 years ago.....just insane

If we're going for PL experience then any of the follwoing would be a good option:

Iraola
Silva
Frank
Hurzler
Glasner
Rodgers (a very good coach, just make sure you scout and buy the players for him)

You never know, it could be Iraola/Silva’s agent putting our name out there to attract other clubs to act on getting them
I think the Spurs job is as good as it gets for them. What bigger club in Europe would take either of them? And chances are if they stay at Fulham or Bournemouth things will eventually turn south given their limitations so they'd be crazy to reject the Spurs job in the summer.

Your argument is weak at best and I will tell you why.
1. This season, with no European football what so ever, we have 91m negative net spend - explain that?
2. Let me tell you our net spend for 23/24 was negative 125.5m with Europa League but because it didn't fit your narrative you proclaimed it's tricky because fees are all "undisclosed"
3. 21/22 No Champions League and you claim it was similar to 20/21 - well it was actually a negative next spend of 80.5m not similar to 50m right?
But most importantly, you make no allowance for the fact majority of transfer fees are staggered over multiple years and heavily dependent on certain criteria being met. This is where Spurs do well because we win fuck all and don't have to pay those milestones. Take Solanke... you hear the quote of 65m because that is what Spurs want you to hear because it makes them look like big spenders. But if you look at the actual deal it is 55m with 30m upfront, 25m in future years and 10m if certain criteria are met. I doubt very much that criteria will ever be met i.e. 20+ goals, winning league, winning cups etc.
My advice, if you are going to point to facts to strengthen your argument, get those facts right and don't point to facts that weaken it.

Are you double counting loans? I'm just using actual figures from each seasons summary on wiki.
I'm not making anything up.

Come away from the spend argument - would you rather watch 6 games against Quarabag, Ferencwhatever they're called and AZ 3 times, or Real, Barcelona, Bayern, PSG etc?
Then ask yourself what the players thing. Current ones and potential signings. Are they happy playing in the arse end of fucking Khazakstan against a pub team on a Thursday? Of course they fucking aint!

AZ are fucking shite, that's why.

Which Premier League side would Troy Parrott be scoring regularly for?

Fucking none of them.
There's no mystery to this.

AZ is a middling team in a bad league. We are a bad team in a good league. So we play them twice and once they shut us down, once we won. They're at our level under Ange/Levy.

We play a middling team in our league a few days later and we lose by two goals. Further confirmation.

We can put together a good half occasionally, perhaps every 10 times out. We can collect a few points against the bottom half (or the bottom quartile) of the PL. We're not a relegation candidate. But mostly it's the same flaccid performances every time out.

Lower than Fulham, lower than Palace, level with Everton and the Spam. And we have no argument whatsoever that the table does us injustice. Those clubs are well and truly better than us, or even with us.

First choice players mostly all available, as much as will ever be in a PL season, yet we continue to shit the bed against Fulham and the like.

This fraud should have been sacked at the first international break and absolutely nothing has occurred to argue against that.

Nah - we're MASSIVE. All coaches want to come to us in their prime.
Mourinho
Conte
Slott

Probably a dozen others that have been at Chelsea/United/City/Liverpool over the last 2 decades that would walk straight past us to get to them until they're washed up.
No one is taking the job as our manager under Levy unless they would never get a chance at a top job otherwise.

I would question the sanity of any up and comer who would bet their CV on a partnership with the bald knob

Matt, if we play Real, Barca, Bayern or PSG, what do you think is going to happen... we are getting humped... go look at the last time we played one of these teams we got pummelled 10-3 on aggregate (2-7 and 3-1). So no, I don't want to watch that and I couldn't give a fuck what the players want. If they don't want to play in Kazakhstan then fucking play better!!!

I don’t know

But it normally ends up being the case that our name gets used for bait when it comes to players/managers :harrylol:

AND they're punching WELL above their weight. Their stadium, with 11,400 seats is no.66 in the football league by capacity.
They currently have the 4th lowest wage bill in the PL above Ipswich, Brentford, and Southampton.
Their highest paid player is on £85k a week with the squad average being £35k
Yet they absolutely battered us 1-0 and were robbed of all 3 points last week in the 2-2
They really were far superior to us in both those game. Miles better.

We are under this idiot manager, yes.
Which is why we need to get a proper manager ASAP and build a solid team that actually plays.
That 2-7 pumelling was when Poch was doing all he could to get sacked btw. It was only the season before, 1 season, we beat Dortmund 4-0 on agg, Man City on away goals, and had a final. The season before that we hammered Real 3-1, beat Dortmund 6-2 over 2 group games, got a 2-2 away to Juve.
Our last actual foray into the CL saw us win our group and go out 1-0 on agg Vs Milan btw. The Bayern thumping was more of an anomaly than the norm.

YES! A season in the champions league is not worth watching and living with that lot winning the league and us winning it for them to top it off

I had major concerns when he said he “couldn’t understand” fans wanting to lose. I don’t expect a coach or players to do anything but try to win the game, but to not understand fans not wanting to win told me he really just doesn’t understand English football.

I remember when we were in the champions league final and Woolwich were in europa final, every single one of my gooner mates said they would take Woolwich losing their final if it meant spurs didn’t win the champions league. This wasn’t some weak mentality spurs fan bollocks some we’re making out, this is how most English fans feel about their teams/rivals.
I can't see them catching the dippers...for me the PL is nailed on for 'Pool....

Would not doubt that.

If you've got another club on the line, quite handy to tell them "You'll need to do better than this, I've got Spurs filling my voice messages, they are desperate"

Would love Ange to be a success here. But I’m really struggling to justify it. If we somehow fluke the Europa league then I feel he deserves the next season to hopefully build off and bring back supporters to his side. But given our inconsistency and lack of visible growth I honestly can’t see us putting together a run the remaining 5 games where the pressure gets more and more with each passing minute.

I’d go with Iraola as he I feel has more upside and space to learn than the likes of frank or Silva who’ve both had very long careers in football.

He will also fit our squad and with some good coaches around him, really let some of our young talent flourish.
