This is how I feel. I don't blame him for wanting to be at a serious club that can win trophies, and I don't blame him for being upset at the mismanagement of his injury, and the mismanagement of all injuries generally at the club needs to be exposed.
I respect him for believing he's among the best at his craft, and that he should be playing for the best clubs and the best honors. He sees us wanking about with a skinflint wage bill and reluctance to pay money for quality in the transfer market and a manager who's a joke and so he wants out. It's only natural.
This kind of ambition should be in the heart of every great player, but unfortunately with our ownership and manager, we don't appeal to players like this.
We've an unserious, unambitious owner and board, we've an unserious lower league manager at best, and an unserious back room and medical staff.
So why would a World Cup champion want to play here when Madrid or any other ambitious club is sniffing around?
