It's beyond words.
That first game set the whole shambolic tone, with many people's mate Romero going walkabout.
You kind of felt even then that it was going to be a sh!t season.
30 games later and that feeling was right.

They will come again, but unlikely to be next year. Too big a country and too much demand for that not to happen.
They epitomise some of the mediocrity of football that I talk about,when players like Richarlison and Cunha, decent players that they are, lead their attack.

I was like, no. If we are not picking up points despite playing decent, (we weren't really that decent at all IMO anyway), then when we start to drop in performance, it will get even worse.
The signs were there from the very first game, that we were in for a poor season. Only getting a point at Leicester first game is just shambolic.
Losing at home to THIS Leicester side was the last straw for me re: Ange in the league...
Having said that, thank gawd for Southampton & Leicester though, or else we'd be battling Ipswich & Wolves to stay up!!! FFS!

Wasn't Wout Faes highly rated once? I'd say he's possibly the worst centre-back in the league.

Isak waa a real find. We could have got him.
Joelinto was bought as a striker, so hmmmm...Tonali and Guinsres are good.
I think Guinares leaves if Madrid or City bid big. Isak seems keen to go.
They are not better as a squad of players than we had under Pochettino, but they are also up against less.

He is a combination of Waddle, Anderton and Milner all in one. Not top grade but not far
Not yet, but will be if he continues to improve. He's only recently 24 so still a few years from what should be his peak.
Joelinton is a machine. He was a laughing stock when he signed for them and played up front. Howe deserves a lot of credit for converting him into a top midfielder.
Ronaldinho is my all time GOAT - watched that man from 2004 but those names are long gone mah dude.
I hope they do rise again but from what I've been seeing it's going to be a long time - I think our current England team could beat them.
Unfortunately we are miles off quality wise.
Our recruitment has been shocking.
Even with a new manager, best we can hope for is fighting for top 7/8 IMO. We just don't have any game changers in the team, and we've always had at least one of them
I like Antony Gordon a lot - performed well in the England shirt as well.
Joelinton reminds me of Dembele, signed as a forward and converted into a top class CM.
Isak is a star.
Bruno was a top signing. They gambled and it paid off. When we gamble on french league players for big money they flop.
They aren't better than our squad under Poch but they really aren't far off. Just shows how far away we are from them.
Look at our squad, there is little genuine quality.
And what do the club do? sign more and more kids....depressing.
We really are run absolute atrociously on the football side. Recruitment, choice of manager, everything is just shite
