Completely agree
I know it was the first match of the season but you just knew what kind of season it was going to be
although I doubt anyone realised just how bad it would become
Nobody could have foreseen how bad we have been.

Great to see. Fucking rats
Unfortunately we are miles off quality wise.
Our recruitment has been shocking.
Even with a new manager, best we can hope for is fighting for top 7/8 IMO. We just don't have any game changers in the team, and we've always had at least one of them
I like Antony Gordon a lot - performed well in the England shirt as well.
Joelinton reminds me of Dembele, signed as a forward and converted into a top class CM.
Isak is a star.
Bruno was a top signing. They gambled and it paid off. When we gamble on french league players for big money they flop.
They aren't better than our squad under Poch but they really aren't far off. Just shows how far away we are from them.
Look at our squad, there is little genuine quality.
And what do the club do? sign more and more kids....depressing.
We really are run absolute atrociously on the football side. Recruitment, choice of manager, everything is just shite
Yep, and it's not that we don't spend money or that anyone woupd have really said Howe was anything but an interim.
Our squad under Pochettino was absolutely on another level for 2/3 years. It was that good

Those happy-clapper shit bastard things don't make much noise without some happy-clapper shit bastard clapping them.
Out of that starting newcastle team tonali, guimares, isak on paper better than what we have. Add in gordon then. Yet look at them play towards us is night and day

Is that an actual question? In hindsight I think he made the right choice.Just why didn't we sign him? plays off the left too. We were heavily linked. Then he went to Newcastle.
We should have just fucked Son off 18 months ago instead of making him captain and letting him rot in the team getting worse and worse as the months go on.
It's like we aren't a serious football team. We constantly make the wrong decision and seem to give players like Son game time based off sentiment.
It was , and it's a disgrace it won nothing.
That's why I never want that loser back here again
Similar thoughts! They are still boring and predictable to watch but yeah that starting 11 is clear of us by a good margin right now.
Players we have that start for them:
Vicario
Romero
VDV
Spence
Kulusevski
Maybe Maddison depending on the system
Players they have that would start for us:
Tonali
Bruno
Maybe Joelinton but he’s overrated
Isak
Gordon
Actually closer than I thought tbh
Don't I lived it - I don't want him back.I think I agree, but more so because I just can't see it ending well.
What we do know is that Pochettino has a real affinity to the club and would have learned something from that time.
But it's hard to believe those 2/3 years passed without silverware.

I agree I hate this Poch revisionism, rose tinted glasses stuff - he won nothing so what? he had his chance & he's not shown to me that he's able to do much past 'try'It was , and it's a disgrace it won nothing.

Really? Because we finished last season in awful awful form. Then we gave the manager another season when it looked like the players had stopped playing for him. I feared a relegation battle based on how chronic we were at the end of last season.
