Match Tottenham Hotspur VS Eintracht Frankfurt. Thursday 10th April 2025. 8pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I had a look at the Eintracht squad last night and besides Ekitike I was surprised at the lack of quality. Obviously they lost Marmoush in January but I don't think they replaced him. I expected to see a stronger squad.

Surely Götze and Batshuayi are past it now? Worryingly I'm feeling optimistic now.

They are 3rd in the Bundesliga, they are a good TEAM no doubt about that.

If we get past Frankfurt I’ll believe we can win it!

The lab pod with Andy Brassell was interesting makes me feel a bit more optimistic

Have you tried explaining that to Christians, Muslims, Buddhists or any religious person for that matter?

Belief is irrational. If you say it needs to be earned then you are saying it should be rational.

We absolutely should and tbh we HAVE to believe we can win the EL. If we don't believe it then we definitely won't win it.
I think I've become an Atheist.

The Bundesliga is a bit rubbish tbf. It's very good fun but seriously lacking in genuine quality sides when it comes to that top six.
Totally agree. Defensively the Bundesliga is shambolic at times. Even watching Bayern they always give chances away. Theirs is a real opportunity for us to get some goals. They are ok going forward but have lost so much creativity since Marmoush left.

...meanwhile, over in Germany:

Back to Frankfurt...

I'm not saying I don't understand those who can't bring themselves to believe.

Still think the point stands. If we only ever believed in things that had earned our belief, we wouldn't have much to believe in.

Bookies wouldn't exist and weathermen would all be unemployed.

I get all that sort of.

I am under no doubt we all want to believe that over the 2 legs we find a way. Some of us will say they don't but secretly will believe that we will prevail. All very natural.

My view is a simple one, amd for the record, I will be surprised (but ecstatic) if we go through, but I don't have real belief that this manager, with this set of players are a combination that has provided any confidence to believe I will be surprised i think the players are good enough but that's the easy bit.

Yesterday, and I had been saying it, I thought Woolwich only lost if the Madrid front 3 turned up.. They were absent, but for sure I did not see 3 zip. That was painful.
