Pal, that last set of financials wasn't disastrous, far from it. Levy knows that even if the football is shit, there'll still be enough die-hard fans to spend money on tickets, merch, f&b etc. Loads of daytrippers too. He doesn't give a shit the atmosphere at the stadium is wank, as long as he can hear the tills ringing, all is well in Levyland. He also knows that whatever we lose on the football, he'll plug that through concerts & other events + properties.
For the sake if it, say I'm wrong and Danny boy decides to spend. He will never spend what we need, especially on wages. And even if he signs 3 x 60-70 mil players, (recent) history shows it'll be Ndombele/Richarlison v2.0.
Nobody in their right mind will give you a pretty penny for Biss or Richy. Solomon is a 10-15 mil player. Hojbjerg's deal was like 15-17 mil iirc.
If Vicario and Romero kick up a fuss about moving, as I expect they will cause they are both cunts...Levy will have to sell them. Sure he will still try & get as much money as poss, but he won't get the 100 or so mil he probably has in mind for Cuti and 40-50 ish for Vic.
Our only hope is that Levy finally fucks off. Even if he stays on as a non-exec chairman kinda thing, give the keys to Vinnie and let him make all the decisions.
