TH Conservative FC:
-abandon ideas of radical player position conversions
-sell players who are misfits in their positions, who are on their last salable contract, or who want out

Spine (build around this/add to this):

Dom
Moore-Madds-Odo
Barry-Gray
Udog-VdV-Danso-Djed
Vic

Keep: Sarr, Yang, Dragusin, Kinsky, Austin, Vuskovic, Devine, Phillips, Olusesi, Lankshear, Donley

Sell: Richy, Johnson, Kulu, Benta, Bissouma, Son, Porro, Romero

Depth chart:

RW: RW1, Yang
CAM: Madds, Barry
CM: Barry, Sarr
CDM: Gray, Jonny
LB: Udog, LB2
RB: Spence, RB2
CB: VdV, Danso, Dragusin, Vuskovic

We're a damn mess- it's going to take us at least two windows to clear out all of: Richy, Johnson, Kulu, Benta, Bissouma, Son, Porro, and Romero, and surely we'll have to take a loss on nearly all of them.

Bet you even after today some still be saying all we need is 2 or 3 quality additions and we'll be challenging for trophies next year.

😶🔫

They would be right.

We finished 5th with a worse squad.

Our youngsters will be a year older and more experienced.

Get those 3 bits of recruitment right and the coaching appointment to fit the squad and we can push the top teams, maybe win the FA Cup in the process.

Chris Paul Lol GIF by ESPN

You're Steve Kerr.

I'm Chris Paul.

Steve Kerr won more Rings than Chris Paul had hot dinners.

Kerr is laid back but sharp as fuck, CP3 is bitter and twisted because the nba canceled his trade when he was on a team that could really challenge.

Is that what you meant?
Pal, I was watching the NBA you was still floating about in your dad's nutsack. You know exactly what I meant by that gif, so don't act a lemon more than you've already done them past weeks.

We got 17 Ls on the board. Outta 32 games, that's 53%...which, if what I read earlier is right, is another record set by the big man. What is it in all comps...20 or 22 defeats? Lost to Wolves, Leicester, Everton, Ipswich, Fulham, Palace. Humiliating record in London derbies. Struggled vs Qarabag, Ferencvaros, AZ (thrice!), Hoffenheim, Elfsborg. Shoulda lost to Coventry...and FUCKING TAMWORTH. Ex-pros (incl Spurs) who know their shit say we're a zillion lightyears away from challenging. The specialist press agrees. Fans of other clubs - not just in the PL or UK - are laughing their heads off at us, at how shockingly poor we are at football. Anybody with half a functioning brain cell knows that.

Ange (who you used to love btw) is an absolute clown, one of the worst managers the game's ever seen. But it ain't all on him, pal. Even Levy, who I utterly despise, ain't the one on the pitch producing vomit-inducing performances. Fuck me...Pep, Carlo, Jose, Klopp, friggin Wenger or Sir Alex at their peak...they'd struggle with that bag of shite we call our squad.

You wanna think a decent manager and 3 additions suddenly catapult us up the table and to FA Cup glory, well you keep hitting that crack pipe and say hi to the fairies for me.

I can’t see the club refusing to invest pretty heavily in the squad as the prospects of any kind of repeat of this season will be an absolute disaster for money grabbing Enic.

Yes it may be a case of having to sell players before buying but there’s a fair few who can be moved on and for a pretty penny. Some will depend on who the next coach is but you’re talking:

Vicario - reported interest for Italy
Porro - interest from Spain. If the new coach plays a back 4 then he’s a liability we don’t need
Romero - likely off to Spain
Bissouma - few EPL clubs interested
Maddison - linked with City this weekend
Kulusevski - interest from Italy (he’s the only one I wouldn’t sell under any circumstances)
Richarlison - a return to Everton?
Solomon - several clubs interested
Hojbjerg - Marseille move becomes perm this summer

Our biggest outlay would have to be on a Romero replacement and a goal scorer whether that be a competent wide forward or a striker.

Insane, we’re on course to lose around 20 games this season, we have been shit since November 2023. The idea that a couple of signings will get us competing is like West Ham fans saying all they need is a couple of signings to get competing, deluded. This manager is shit, but this squad is also shit. They finished 5th because of a purple patch at the beginning of last season which has proven to be a freak occurrence for them. The standard of them is far below that position.

The club has pretty much already told us that there will be zero net spend this summer. They have already invested half a billion over the last couple of seasons.

Out of contract
Holjberg, Davies, Tel, Werner, Reggie, Forster, Whiteman

1 year left
Son, Bentencaur, Bissouma, Gil

Realistically, $$ in at best - but that would give us 12 positions to recruit for; and we know from experience; that just a couple of deals can take all summer to get done. No way we can sell 7 and but 12 in one window.

Biss - 10m
Richy - 25m
Solomon - 8m
Vicario - 25m
Porro - 30m
Romero - 50m
Gil - 10m

Our big signing this summer will be Tel.

You're delusional if you think a squad that reliant on our youg players is anything other than relegation fodder.

I like our youngsters, but some of you vastly overrate them. It will be a success if just 1 of Moore, Batty, Devine, Lankshear, Phillips, and Donley plays 1,000+ minutes in multiple league seasons at Spurs.
