Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

strangely enough they doubled us 1-0 Harry's season when we got 4th and CL, and they went down. I was at both, these things do happen. But yes with this manager its happengin to all those types of teams all the feckin time

Silva at FFC has our number, I expect Palace and Brighton to double us or at least draw. AFCB mullered us each time. one point off Leics.

Still morons out there on twatter saying its individual errors (which it may be but begs the question why which they refuse to engage with)
The errors are clearly because so many players aren't training properly.
They look like they're all in their first pre-season games after a month off in vegas.
It's not about fitness, it's sharpness. A player who is playing and training correctly, even an average one, doesn't look that far off it.
Throw in the fact that the ridiculous suicideball places players into relentless pressure situations, they're going to fuck up occasionally. As with any defender or keeper, it's the fuck ups that get picked on.
If I forward misses 3 sitters but scores one it's the goal everyone looks at.
If a defender does his job 9 times out of 10 but slips once, it's that slip people look at.

The question is - why are our defenders having to make those 10 tackles/interceptions? Why are they so exposed, outnumbered, under pressure so often?

They have high standards man they insist you watch the show to contribute. I've seen all 300 episodes. In the same way I watch Tottenham and go to the games before I pontificate. Sorry I didn't mean to get your hopes up. My usernames Theyokofactor.

Fuck that shit! I will watch a tik tok or 3 and catch up with the plot.
Just some teenage vampires sure I can work it out!

And Going to games is pure boomer mate.
It’s 2025 not 1882.

And back in the day on here we were all supporters of the Botswana Meat Commission.
If anybody went to or watched any of their games I’d be amazed.

To be perfectly honest with you I have no fucking idea exactly where Botswana is. (I obviously know it’s in Africa.)

:nare::chicco:

Edit. FUCK THE EXTENSION GUNNERS!!!

lack of formation got a lot to do with it imo

and a lack of running off the ball

everyone when in possession should have several good passing options so they're not going to be losing the ball very often

they dont. which is why we lose possession and suddenly its a braekaway for the oppo even if it's from their pen area. its why we get all those happy injuries too - sprints without the ball are so far off the chart they had to make it wider to include us

if the formation is there, if a team plays with discipline and collective will, then losing possession in the main wont be disastrous. With us, it often is

indiviudal errors from players who shouldnt be doing it for other teams or their countries. Whats the variable. Step forward Matey

No smoke without fire.
But all the soundbites are confirming my belief now, that he's here until the end of the season regardless of Thursday.
As he should be at this stage.

Anybody coming in would be on a hiding to nothing, taking on a de-moralised and demotivated squad, with a fractured relationship with the fans, and absolutely nothing to play for. Being out of Europa there is literally no upside to this for anyone aside from the wages.

The time to act for the club was before the January window, then it was before the Liverpool 2nd leg, then it was before we were out of the FA Cup, then it was the moment we were out. Then it was any time up to the Frankfurt 1st leg, and since then the club have had the final seconds of injury time following the Wolves match to do something to salvage this pathetic campaign.

But they didn't. If they sack him after losing to the Eintracht Hotdog then it's a display of outright negligence, because anybody with half a brain cell and a modicum of sanity can see that Ange ain't getting anything from this game. In the infinitesimally small event that we get a result to progress, it'll be in spite of the Manager and in no way because of him.

Ange should be left in place to take full ownership of the utter abortion that he has overseen.

Agreed, he does not provide environment for managers to work miracles and win big titles.

However he has been here since 2001 (!).

And yet we are looking at the worst league finish across that 24 year period.
Benchmark is not winning the league, but if form has been shit for 60 (!!) games already then I feel this is pretty telling sample.
It includes times when lot of players are injured, but also lot of time when they are not.
It includes times when we had massive amount of games in short period to play but also lot of times when there was just 1 competition to be in.
It includes two seasons when he had full pre-season with the side and had chance to make adjustments to squad (like to buy THREE new full-international side CBs, 3rd top scorer of division from previous year, plus number of really promising young talents).

And yet we are here. All the previous managers have done lot more with lot less, let's be honest.
Oi, stop cherrypicking!

:ange-confused:

I don't think it helps that we don't seem to choose our preferred candidate and just go for them, we like to line up a pool of hopefuls and have them dance around for us like it's a Britain's Got Talent audition.

Why would any manager look at that process and risk upsetting his current job for a position he might not even get because Levy prefers the way the Brentford manager swallows a sword?

If we went to Iraola and told him he's our choice, what are his terms, he'd be at the table talking turkey before dinner time.

Instead we've got the footballing minds of Levy, Cullen, and Munn drawing up a shortlist of candidates and working out who is the easiest/cheapest to acquire, whilst Lange awkwardly sits in a corner staring at pie charts on excel of Scandinavian teenagers.

The fuck???

Just read this on TotalSport yesterday:

"Tottenham's 17 league defeats this season matches the number of games they lost under former boss Mauricio Pochettino in his three seasons at the club between 2015 and 2018."

What!???
It's true, but it's also cherry picking.
14/15 - his first season, we lost 12
15/16 - his second season, 6
16/17 - his third, 4
17/18 - his fourth, 7

18/19 - his fifth, 13
Ignore the 1st and 5th seasons where he lost 19
Or the 6th season where he got sacked whilst sitting 14th and lost 4 from 12 already. (and drew 4 winning only 3)

But that last season would still have seen, based on that poor form, 44 points. More than we're likely to get this season.
And he likely would have sorted it a bit to get us over 50, as did Mourinho in the end.
I can't see us getting past 40. At the moment, I can't even see us getting any more points.

Damning stuff. With evidence. Facts.

Get a grip Angebois. Your man is well, well out of his depth here.

It’s genuinely embarrassing that he’s still in the job. As I’ve said before, he’s not just the worst manager to ever set foot in this club—he might be the most inept manager I’ve seen in the entire Premier League era.

At this point, the only plausible explanations for his continued employment are:

A) There’s likely a clause in his contract that guarantees a payout if he’s sacked while we’re still in the Europa League. Wouldn’t be the first time a golden parachute kept someone in a job far longer than merit ever could.

B) Levy is trying to make this club seem like a nurturing environment for future managers—‘look how patient we are, even when the ship’s sinking!’ It’s a tough sell, though, and this feels like wishful thinking if I am honest and the least likely reason.

C) Most cynically—and perhaps most convincingly—this could all be a long game from Levy and ENIC: keep Ange around just long enough to become the lightning rod for all the anger (let’s face it, he’s a complete prick and a shit manager it isn’t hard) that way, when he’s finally shown the door, the relief is so palpable we forget who hired him in the first place. Classic Teflon Dan—dodging accountability like it’s his full-time job.

Annoying.

So, Tottenham fans demanding long overdue success is, “toxicity”?

Off you fuck. Don’t let that door hit your backside while you are at it.
Let us not forget, HE was the one who started it all with the fans when he criticised us for not wanting to win the City game to hand the scum the title.

This man is an abusive gaslighter and frankly a fucking humongous cunt with a shallow and petulant personality that is a projection of his own insecurities.
