Match ****Frankfurt v Anges Blue & White Army **** 8pm Thursday 17th of April

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Our win was soo much better than the clownshow one from Man utd, low key quietly getting the win without any drama. I think we're much better placed to beat them should be meetup in a final.
I dont know, i'm a bit gutted they went through. They find a way to win trophies no matter how shite they are. They have it in the club DNA in a way we just dont. As mentioned as well its very us to beat them 3 times this season and lose the one that matters.

Was ok with it for a special occasion but fucked if I want to watch that every week

Inverted FBs mean we have numbers in midfield in the build up and leaves the forwards able to stay high and stop the opps playing a high line.

Just make it adjustments to the situations. If we have the ability to play both ways then we’re a better team
You can’t play with inverted full backs. It doesn’t work. It murders your centre backs and teams are far too structured and will pick you off. Inverted full backs are one of the worst things in football and I hate it. Yes you get more players in midfield and out number the opposition but it kills space. When we do get through a team we get to the edge of their box and the move dies because of our quality up front. You need brilliant front players for it to have an end product but we most of the time don’t get through teams anyway. If you are a midfielder and a full back comes into the area you want to play in you are telling them to get to fuck.

If you want to play a lone 6, you need at least one of them inverted, or your build-up is dead on arrival in this day and age with all the pressing that goes on.

I can see the argument for only inverting 1 or playing a double pivot, but we played double pivot under Poch, and it killed us in a lot of big games. IMO (and I admit to understanding fuck all about how tactics really look/feel on a pitch instead of on video), if you want to dominate teams, you need as many of your forwards and MFs forward as possible. Inverting your FBs allows both 8's to get forward and choke the pitch higher up.

Been saying this for over a year but really stupid poster kept saying but he's moved the highline! Eyeroll....

Could the worst manager we have had in the last 17 years also be the only one to win a trophy?
It was ever so slightly embarrassing watching him try to celebrate with the rest of the touchline crew on the final whistle. They were all hugging in joy, but he seemed to be on the outside, trying to get in there because he thought he should.

Re the penalty

Still can't believe the ref ran to see how the keeper was after he had already got up from the collision. Whist madders is flat out on the floor. Very poor from the ref. Just shows how protected goalies are. Nice to see the spurs team go mad and stand up for thier team mate
