The obsession with that guy from a significant portion of our fan base is one of the more perplexing things relating to this club.

The XG was better and we had more shots, touches in the box yada yada yada, 2-1 loss at home, yet again, 8th of the season.

What blinds me is being 16th in the league after 18 losses and having nothing to play for in April. I also made a point about you claiming Solanke had to be protected lest we be forced to start Richarlison you've decided not to respond to but hey ho, you cling on to the fact they could have easily shanked at least 2 clearances into their own whilst being 20 odd points clear and in 3rd.
For one, I didn't say Solanke had to be protected. Go back and read it again. I said that IF Solanke were to get a knock we would need Richarlison to come in and do a job and for that he needs some minutes having played fuck all minutes for most of this season.

Secondly, I'm talking about tonights performance, tonights game. Not the overall league position or the 20 points gap.

If you think I'm happy with the performances, tactics, Ange, the players effort for most of this season or the number of losses this seaosn you are very much mistaken. I'm simply saying that tonights performance merited at least a point, possibly all three and that I felt there were positives to take from it,and that if we cut out the individual errors we win games like this comfortably. Forest did very little and were clinging on.

Everything I've said is factual if you are looking at the game for what actually happened tonight on the pitch and not muddying the waters by talking about how bad 18 losses is...

That's not what I'm arguing about clearly.

They are playing with one of the smallest playing staffs in the league, very few injuries, no European drain on the legs. And absolutley zero expectation that they would be doing what they are doing.

They will be mid table next season, nailed on.

The league is just very, very low quality this season. Being organised and carrying a basic counter attacking package with a high work rate is enough.
What does that say about the teams in the bottom half ??
Why haven't the other teams taken advantage of the low quality ??

What’s starting to get my goat is that I’m getting used to losing now and the defeats have stopped hurting. 18 defeats, 8 at home (our worst in PL history) and I’m just numb to it. I’ll go to the semi final but the league games are pointless to attend. The players have given up in those.

I hope you’re right; it’s a No Sleep ‘til Bilbao mentality : the League was a write off months ago .

Onwards.

Fair enough.

Again fair enough.

We disagree here, I saw a team go 2-0 up and then look to shut the game down which is completely acceptable as they've got something to play for and something we should look to do more often as we saw last Thursday when we had something to play for.

You also claim they played robotic, unacceptable, defensive football when I saw a team that was able to be strong defensively and pose a threat on the break when they needed to which wasn't much with a 2 goal lead. An approach that has them 3rd in the league currently.

Cool.

Like I said earlier, Yann Sommer was available for £6million and would have been good for at least 4 seasons, and probably would have been the best keeper in the league.

But Spurs have their stupid transfer rules, so that was a no go
Taking your word that this is true, but that would have been a really sensible purchase. Great professional I would have guessed for Austin to work with and develop.

Angeball will finally redeem itself when AP inevitably headbutts Milesy after the last game of the season.

:ange-clap:

Cut the guy some slack ; he may be an incompetent and laughable stooge paid by the club to do his best and present an optimistic and positive attitude in post-match interviews .

But that’s no reason why he should even think about lamping Milesy or anyone else come the end of the season.
