We’re probably better off getting whatever we can and cutting him loose. No sense keeping unhappy, unmotivated players and that’s what he is.
That's the mad thing.Agree - I don’t really care about any of our players tbh so sell the lot for all I care![]()
Apparently Michael Carrick was easy to replace. We got Zokora.I genuinely genuinely think he's very easy to replace. I don't think fans should be at all stressed about selling him. Funnily enough I think VDV would be better with a far less erratic partner. Romero has been indulged by a weak and clueless coach. The system is horrible for defenders and keepers.
I didn’t say that- don’t read what isn’t there.
He's over-rated, and also a liability at times. Get his nuts out of your mouth. With how the refs are in Spain, he'll be getting sent off every month in La Liga.
It doesn't work like that though. That doesn't mean they were NOT easy to replace. Just that Levy chose not to. That's about him, if you are willing to continue to materially support Levy and his choices then you accept the T&C's. Loads of mugs were on here giving it the painful rebuild bullshit. I've binned off the ST and merch, as a result of realising I'm not getting value. But sitting here and worrying about replacing and average Centerback for a slightly above average. Lol...nah I'm way past that.Apparently Michael Carrick was easy to replace. We got Zokora.
We also replaced Berbatov and Keane with Frazier Campbell on loan.
And Bale with 5 useless turds, a broken Argie and Eriksen.
Never underestimate Spurs.
All good- I agree with you- Romero certainly could have helped us a lot more. Very disappointing tenure here.
Is he playing shit in PL to drive the price down and well in EL because he wants to win it?
Either way that interview was a cunt of a thing to do. Straight from the Harry Kane and Gary Neville playbook

His mentality is part of the problem! We talk about changing the mentality of the club, acting like we want leaders and ambition—but the moment a player shows any fire or edge, it’s all too much. Can’t have anyone with “big club” energy unless they’re perfectly polite and neutered, apparently.
He ain't thar good, as to do that. This season alone,it started I'm game 1.
Utter contempt to everyone involved in the club, mostly the fans.
Interesting (within reason) to see what Postecoglou does, much less what he says as a result.
I think you're mistaking fire and edge with reckless and liability.Oh because I rate Romero as a player—who plays for the club I support—and I recognize what he’s capable of before and after Ange, that somehow means I’ve got his nuts in my mouth? Right, makes total sense. Brazil nuts are nice, never tried Argentinian nuts before, maybe they’re made of ingredients of grade A mentality and actual silverware, I guess I’ve developed a refined taste.
It is funny how “overrated” seems to mean “player I personally don’t vibe with.” I haven’t seen him hyped beyond reason—just backed by people who see he’s been made scapegoat-in-chief ever since Ange walked through the door. I’ve acknowledged he makes mistakes (as most top-level defenders do), but context and form clearly aren’t fashionable in hot takes these days.

And as for La Liga refs—yeah, you’re right, aggressive defenders like Ramos and Puyol really struggled over there. Absolute disasters.
