Match Tottenham vs Forest Monday 21 April 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

That's a bit extreme IMO; if we were 10th-12th, then I would take that if it meant us winning the EL.
However being in a position of only avoiding relegation because there are three bloody awful teams below us (with two of them winning on our home turf) is just not good enough.
I'm so pessimistic that I cannot see us winning another game this season - it is that bad. (Obviously and goes without saying, I want to be so wrong about this).

Likely a point at the Pikey's and a Palace win. So more than likely (and optimistically) four more points.

I am struggling to find how Ange would turn a twenty game losing PL season into (lets be optimistic) a ten game losing season next year?

I have seen no improvement this season, so i can't see next season being any different. He has had three hundred million to spend, and I wouldn't give him another penny.

I watched the Burnley and Leeds games yesterday and saw free flowing, ambitious football. It reminded me of the Poch era, young players in two different systems, each player knowing their job, and managers on the sidelines issuing tactical changes.

I was in envy.

On a side note, why the hell we let Solomon go out on loan and waste money on Werner speaks volumes for Ange. I haven't seen Solomon play a bad game this season, nine goals, eleven assists in thirty seven injury free games.

The next manager should recall him.

Not last night, two goalkeeping howlers apart, we dominated the team third in the best league in the world
We didn't even have our first team on the pitch

And yes, I do appreciate that they would have played differently had we actually scored early on
To be honest i dont see what was good about last night. We crossed tje ball 50 times to 2 of the strongest and best headers of tje ball in the league. Yes we got a goal eventually but it was so predictable it was madness. Plus 90% of the time we had 1 player in the box for those crosses so most were wasted

Forest have done incredibly well to be where they are, but the style of play works against teams who want to attack. You saw Everton match them up in their set up, and Everton beat them as they couldn't break the low block.

It works now, but those kind of systems always get worked out. It's inevitable.
just like ours has been for 16 months now. Why didnt Ange adapt a similar policy last night plus wed have better counter than everton so surely would have done as well

If he wanted to ; he’d be over-ruled and MS will be flipped to Leeds at a profit ( remember Danny got him for nowt because he had Shaktar over a barrel - given that the poor sods had recently been invaded by Russia ) .

That’s who we are mate . Sadly.

Do last night and wolves games.
He has checked out and is putting the effort in in europe for suitors

So you think other club scouts just look at our EL games?
🤔

If you truly think that Romero is the root cause for us losing eighteen Premier League games this season then you don't know football.

For him to want a move show's his ambition, and he will go to one of the top European clubs, i wonder what they see in him that you don't?

I didnt say he was the cause. But if you think hes been good for us this when hes played this season you dont know football.
Plus i never said he was shit. Hes checked out with us apart from Europe for a good while now.

Solomon is playing well because he's in the Championship, what level are we actually trying to aspire to when we want to recall player like him back?

Told the story before, mate was season ticket holder at Man U in fergie years, travelled from doncaster one season he said I'm only going to selected matches this seaso,at the end of the season he gave season ticket up as he found other things to do
And that was when Man U won things & played good football
Man U didn't deserve his money - but here's another thing PL Clubs are fukkin with ST Holders.

You pay your money upfront for tickets, the club says no their not your tickets unless you attend X amount of games & it's not your ticket because it's already been resold for £600 to people coming to see X player...There's gonna be all sorts of caveats, T&Cs that no one reads & skullduggery working against a ST holder.

This is why I didn't resell my tickets I don't want the club making more money off me...SCUMBAGS

ST holders are treated like shit now.

I'm a Charlton FC Fan as well & I'm treated like fukkin royalty when I go to a game there...

Maybe , just maybe the next manager will be someone who can coach and improve a player ; take them to the next level if you will .

Otherwise we’re just going to have to go down the acquiring Galacticos path and get Ancelotti in to massage their egos and give us a chance of winning something, eventually.

As I see it .

Fans don't want what people IN football want though.
And that includes players. Some of us might be happy finishing 16th and winning the Europa League, but as we're seeing with Romero, that ain't enough for players.
It's fickle, but a club like United could use winning the Europa league as a carrot to attract decent players. I don't think we can.
I am not happy finishing so low in the Pl but we need to win that trophy and go on to greater things not keep putting everything into the top 4 non trophy and never winning anything.

Good point, let's just go back to not trying.

This is called life without Kane and Son

Lol. People are really easy to fool. Okay, so see this here is a player focused and committed to the job at hand. In short he gives a fuck, and will risk putting it out there. It's a 9 out of 10 performance. Now do him last night against Forest not marking and getting beat in the air. That's the 4 out of 10 we are getting regularly. I'd much rather Mark Guehi say giving you 8 out 10 consistency. We will be a better more often side albeit one without the peak. I've said it before Romero is a great tournament player I'm not sure he'll win you a league.
