As much as a tactical liability he can be and has been, he actually wants the club to succeed and not be constantly belittled in the media.

On that Matt Law Tweet, he doesn't mention United, or the fact that more teams who haven't won their league get a "Champions League" place than those teams who have?

It's bollocks to call it Champions League, but he doesn't Tweet about that.

When you look at the new CL format the only reason it starts in a league format is to stave off the Super League.

Matt Law is another hack who just chases click bait in order to bolster his pay cheque.

People say this about every single central midfielder and have done for decades.

Back in the day our fans said it about Ossie, then Carrick, then Modric, then Dembele.
I admit I thought Modric was lightweight and never going to cut it in the Premier League... but including Dembele in this view that fans had similar view about him as many have about Sarr is a complete fallacy. When we got him from Fulham I thought this was the best bit of business we have done in a long time... he scored on his debut and I can't remember any Spurs fan ever feeling anything other than what a beast about him... Sarr will never be fit enough to lace Dembele's boots. In my opinion Sarr is no better than Winks or Skipp... bog standard PL midfielder who can get up and down and might score the odd goal.

Sarr shouldn't really be in the same sentence as Ossie, Carrick, Modric or Dembele whatever the subject be.

He's a good squad player, never should be starting for us.
I'm not saying he's at their level, but fans whinge about central midfielders habitually.

"What does he do?" You heard this in the stadium in the 80s and I've seen those words verbatim online since.

It's odd, you never do in Spain, they're worth their weight in gold at every level.

Heck, people need to not look further than to Hojbjerg last season.

We'd love to have him back now to shore things up and be willing to use the dark arts.

The irony of AAAALL of this, is we (and others to be fair) used to get ridiculed when we aimed for the "4th Placed Trophy" ...as if finishing 4th (let alone 5th!!) shouldn't bring with it the rewards it does ...
and yet here we are, in a competition where, IF you WIN a TROPHY, you get rewarded with moving up a 'level' and into the Champions League... surely that IS just reward for winning a trophy, no???

...or, as I suspect, does it only NOT count if WE do it??
