Match The Bodø Affair: The Mighty Tottenham vs Bodø/Glimt of Nordland - 2000hrs 1st May 2025 - UEFA Europa League Semi Final Leg 1

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Pal, we got gifted our 1st and 3rd goal, our 2nd is a long ball forward on which their goalie has a shocker. Did eff all in the second half. They had a big chance to score just before half time and if they had Berg's creativity in the middle of the park, they probably score a 2nd.
Nah. The 1st and 3rd came from putting them under pressure. The second is something that has clearly been worked on repeatedly in training as Johnson noted in his interview. All well deserved goals. There were plenty of other good openings that ultimately didn’t materialise as well.

That said, Bodo are a completely different prospect at home, so will have to be right on it.

We scored every half hour tonight! (1, 34 and 61)
...shoulda had one right at the end on the 92nd minute to make it 4.... That woulda been quite something for the fans who like nest patterns!!

I think if you’d offered 3-1 before hand most would have taken it. Not over by any means, and it wouldn’t shock me if they score first next week and we panic. This is ideal for them as it’s gone exactly how they usually find.

It’s not as safe as we’d like but as much as I would expect them to score next week, I definitely fancy us to as well.

Fingers crossed Maddison and Dom are ok, with them, I’d still fancy us, but you really can’t look beyond them at home.

In other news, shocked by Bilbao, proper done over by United.
I bet 3-1...with richarlison scoring

Big Ange’s nickname clearly not a reference to his height as he looked a proper short arse in the post match interview stood in between Glenn and Joe, even with Joe stood in the ‘gutter’! 😂

Would I have taken 3-1 before the match - absolutely yes.

Tonight it could easily have been 4-0 or 4-1 (we had 24 shots with 7 on target versus Bodo's 3 shots with only one on target.

So maybe we are entitled to feel a little hard done by.

But if same team plays next week its perfectly possible to see us winning despite the plastic pitch, low temperatures, small stadium etc. Key thing will be Spurs team keeping it together and outscoring them.

The fear comes from how we've played in nearly all of our away cup games this season in an intense atmosphere: Galatasaray and Rangers in the group, Liverpool in the league cup second leg and Tamworth and Villa in the FA Cup.

The hope comes from how we managed to deal with it in Frankfurt.

Gonna be a long week.

Does that mean that you actually think “ We’re Back ! “ .

Love the optimism but others may rightly disagree.

Tamworth in early January is one thing but Bodo in May : May prove to be a bridge too far for Ange IMO .

Unfortunately for us Bodo aren’t Kilmarnock or Galashiels Athletic . They’re not one of those super-clubs North of the border . Nobody had heard of Bodo this time last decade .

So you're saying we're getting knocked next week .
Okay nice for you to put your neck on the line

Wasn't impressed by Udogie much. Spence not have a single minute was criminal.

Thought Sarr deserves a run out too. We didn't need to be that passive in the 2nd half honestly. The losses in the league have gotten into Ange to retreat so much in the 2nd half we gotten all passive.
Can we drop this Spence thing? He was good back in February but has been shocking since the MArch International break.

Porro was our best player today and Udogie wasn't far behind him. Just drop the agendas and be open to changing your opinion with new evidence. This spence stuff is getting boring

To me, and I might be wrong but there is a ating in the tail somewhere.

This either gets to 3 each next week, with a winning goal for either team or we get through and lose to United.

Whichever it is, we are fated not to in my opinion.

It's like it simply can't be easy, and next week will probably/possibly prive that.

I think only we could be in such control and relinquish our strength.

We shall see..
