I know. The level of delusion is crazy Spaniel Spaniel excepted, he's just rightly scared because he knows that nothing is too stupid for Levy. But the Don Pedro Don Pedro of this world and a few others that think winning the Europa will change anything. They are high we could win five nil hes finished at Spurs.

We won't win another league game and the spell is broken there are board members who openly call his coaching 'catastrophic '. He's got few freinds, and the few that like him personally still think he is a bullshiter. I've been zen for sometime as I have heard verbatim he's going and we are dumping the entire back room.
He was thoroughly disliked even at the start of the season, so it's unbelievable that he's been allowed to stay until now. Levy has abdicated his responsibilities as Chairman in the most heinous of ways.

“If you think we would have 20 league defeats if we weren’t in a final I am not really sure how else to explain it.”

Embarrassing.

Is there an excuse this man HASN’T used yet in his attempt to gaslight everyone into thinking it isn’t his fault?

Also, how fucking rude is he? That little fragile ego of his cannot handle this level can it? Fair play to the interviewer because she didn’t back down.

Does he ever apologies to the fans who turn up. Im
Not sure I’ve ever heard him say sorry to the fans for the number of home defeats. I’ve said it before I don’t think he cares. At least use to hold his hands up when he got things wrong but that was very rare. Ange never have his hands down if he did the same.
I just want the reports to bite back and say Villa got fa cup semi and CL w/f where they played pay not the mighty bodo and our 6th. That is just one team as an example. A few weeks back he was blaming the injuries and saying wait till we have our players back. Now it’s bcos we got to el final playing some of the easiest teams you could want. I hope the board / paratici are hearing this nonsense.

My real concern is that by not getting rid in the summer, all of our current targets become unobtainable by October.
We will also have to either buy players for a coach who is going to leave, or not buy any at all, leaving the next guy in a tricky situation. So that'll be next season written off as well.
Has to be done May 26th, new manager straight in with paratici already on chase for players new guy would want. If leave it too late we’ll blow £100M on players like Solanke, Johnson and oddbert. Although I bet Tel will be announced soon as season ends like Werner.

That is what you call a sore loser.

Laugh all you like. Poch, Jose and Conte all gave up and sulked when injuries fucked their key players.

Ange has never once criticised the club and has stood by the players, only having called out Biss and Werner for not stepping up.

The fans wanted a trophy - and he's as close as any coach in decades to doing that. He knows the league results will lose him his job, but he hasn't quit, hasn't throw his toys out the pram and is focused on results.

Believe me, his next club will be one of the elite teams of Europe, and it would surprise me to see him taking over from Pep at City in the summer. Ange is elite, and a winner.
What are you on mate!

Neither am I.

He didn't throw the league, more he doesn't have a clue how to manage in it.
It’s strange up to last two games of group stage in Jan he mostly rotated the first 11 ish players for the 2nd team and youngsters. Remember the hoff game at home where adeji, Scarlett and Moore scored. Only Moore has seen game time since. Anyways from last 16 he then started swap the teams around. By then we were out of the league cup. So not sure why he now says it’s bcos we have got to final that league form has dipped. They’ve hardly played that many games.

Ange has been done here since October so Levy has had plenty of time to line up the next guy. No excuses.
If Ange gets the EL, let him do the parade and cup his ear to the fans then sack him the following week. Get Glasner in and bring Eze and Wharton with him. Richy + Biss plus 80m should do it.

It seems like some here want Ange fired more than they want Spurs to win the EL.

I think it's guaranteed that he is gone if we lose and probably a good chance he stays if we win. Levy is not scared to fire a manager but he cares about getting CL. Even if he stays he will be removed if the team gets off to a slow start.

Just win the damn thing and then I don't care what happens to Ange afterwards.

I think it is pretty much guaranteed that he will be leaving at the end of the season, trophy or not.

As you point out - Champions League is EVERYTHING to Levy and the board. We are quick to blame Ange for abandoning the EPL, but there is every chance the club have asked him to do so in order to have the best chance of winning Europa.

Spurs performance during Ange's time has been Jeckyl and Hyde. World beaters when our 1st choice players are available, and utterly dismal when the reserves are called upon. "Ange Ball" works when he has top quality players, but goes to shit when you have to play your 3rd choice keeper and a bunch of 18-20 year olds.

So, what options does the club have?

Improve the squad - Give Ange proper depth and experienced players?
Change the coach - Will any other coach get a tune if we continue with players like Werner, Gray, Spence, Bissouma, Odobert, Sarr, Reguilon, Davies, Dragusin, Moore, Johnson?

And of course, WTF happened to our medical department; and what is going on with the club leaks? There is a lot more going on behind the scenes at Spurs than we have been told.

If a manager gets 4th in the league but is knocked out of all cups in the first round/league stage, people say that manager has done a good job. If a manager gets Europa League final, carling cup semi final but struggles in the league he is considered an absolute idiot and has no idea what he’s doing. I struggle to make sense of this.

I think he deserves another season based on what has happened in the cups…

A good manager should be judged on the league they manage in, nothing more nothing less.

We capitulated in the Caribou Cup at Liverpool, and when a team like Bodo Glimt makes a European semi final it shows how piss poor that competition is. Anyone who thinks any different is fooling themselves that Spurs and United (sixteenth and seventeenth in the PL) have beaten good sides to make the final, we haven't.

We will lose over twenty PL games this season, a record.

No manager deserves another season with that record, and if we lose the final what then?

He's a failure at this level and at this club.

I don’t understand getting thrashed in Europe and eliminated from the all cups early but getting 3rd or 4th and never winning anything.

All competitions must be judeged equally. Next season we could finish second and bomb out in all cups. People would be saying that’s an amazing season. How would that be any different to the current season?

The Cup's are the luck of the draw, didn't Coventry, and Bristol City make semi-finals last season and I think the season before, our very own Bolo Glimt's per say?

The PL is over thirty eight games, no two legged games where a second chance to progress occurs.

Slott, Arteta, Pep and the like would willingly give up a CL Trophy for the PL Title.

There is no greater measure of a clubs success as the league table.

Not one.

I'm not sure that is fair.

We beat Liverpool in the first leg of the Semi. In the 2nd leg we had to give a debut to Danso and Tel, and play Gray/Spence as full backs.

Bodo beat Porto, Lazio, Olympiacos, Twente, Besiktas to reach the Europa semis. All decent teams and Bodo deserve credit where its due. They aren't a terrible team by any stretch.

He's an unbearable cunt and the worst manager we've ever had. Period.
Crazy that it's being said that potentially the first manager to deliver a trophy in almost 2 decades, and the first European trophy in almost half a century is the worst manager we've even had!

Most hated, maybe.

How about Ossie? 93/94 we finished 15th and were knocked out of both cups in the early rounds. That season was over by January.

Christian Gross 97/98 finished 14th and again season was over by February after going out of both cups early to Barnsley and Derby.

I get your hatred for the man, but to say he's the worst manager in footballing terms is a bit of a stretch. League results have been shocking, and it will be our lowest ever PL finish, but the cup runs spare him that accolade surely.

I do find the insults being slung at Ange are unjust.

We did well to finish 5th last year after losing Harry, and were doing well this season 3 months in before the wheels fell off.

It was clear, that without our best players available we simply couldn't mount a league campaign. The Chelsea fixture was a calculated risk to get us back on the board and it backfired - of course, that was on Ange and he admitted the risk didn't pay off.

From what I understand, he sat down with the players and staff as a group and they came to the decision together to focus the remainder of the season on the Cup competitions - hence why the club and players have been fully behind Ange. Another calculated risk, and next week we will know if this risk paid off.

Yeah, I think it's just certain posters have trouble controlling their emotions. If you're resorting to throwing insults at the manager, players and other fans then you clearly don't have anything of value to say.
Overall Ange has been a failure, even if we win the EL. However, he's worked hard to make it from the A-league to the premier league. He obviously has the desire to be as good as he can be, he was offered an opportunity that was too good to turn down and it hasn't worked.
For me the fault with that rests with Levy. Attacking Ange’s physique, calling him a cunt, the man has a family, he's got kids. Yeah he hasn't been good enough, but its not like he just gave up and took the pay without the effort. He's defended the club and has tried to implement what he believes in. Levy should have analysed this better before appointing him.

There is absolutely no way to ever justify attacking someone personally, especially from your armchair. Tactically he's been naive in the PL, emotionally he could have connected with the fan base better. Im sure he'll reflect on all that during the summer when he's looking for his next job.
