It's probably the only high profile job in world football that pays a top salary without the pressure to actually win anything. I can see why it would still be attractive to some.

That's the thing. The Spurs regime is well recognised everywhere. Managers get fired inside 24 months and the club never win anything (I hope we do on Wednesday, but I don't see it with all our injuries) - so what decent manager and players would want to come here, and what decent players would want to stay?

We can't and won't compete at the very highest end but we need to have recognise what the squad needs, in order to be competitive.
