Whiteman out of contract as well so dubious how good this information is. I mean if thats the case Werner Reggie and Forster are being moved on as well.

To be fair, there has been talk of a one year extension for Ben (and its conceivable there is a 1 year club option in his contract) but I think with CL next year, Spurs will not pursue that route.

So a LB and a CB back up need to be on the shopping list. However with uefa squad rules requiring a maximum of 17 overseas player and 4 HG players - 21 players in total before CT and List B players - there are not the squad places to get 2 players per position, so we will need to look for versatility (as we did with Archie covering CB and FB positions this season).

Ben could go back to Swansea or Scott Parker's Burnley or indeed go into coaching - he got his badges coaching Spurs youth and I suspect we'd welcome him if he wanted to make that his next role.

No real surprises in that tweet, I think most fans would agree on that way forward.

Not keen on Paulinha really, think he was overrated at Fulham. Craven cottage is a tight pitch and they played very compact. Couple of long range goals and a couple of bad fouls he got away with got him noticed but I think his agility and mobility gets exposed elsewhere. Think it has at Bayern

Spot on. We need someone very mobile in the deep midfield position. I’d break the bank for Carlos Baleba.

Paulhina id take him allday he is a colossal presence just quietly goes about his business breaks play up and starts attacks from deep exactly what we need to drive the team forward
