Honestly this lot.. Trying to call the Uefa Cup a mickey mouse trophy. Not only have they never won a european trophy bigger than it.. They've never even won one that equalled it. And they've had enough attempts to win this trophy of ours but shat the bed at every opportunity.. European minnows.

They really are a scandalous bunch of no marks aren't they.

I've just had 3 Goons text me saying 'Have that then'. 2 of the 3 didn't watch the game and the third only had it on because his Mr was watching.

All 3 of them had no idea they had won it before.

Though according to them, the Women's CL is a bigger trophy than the Europa.

It is funny, isnt it.
They are a bunch of inbreds, who only come out after dark to raid the rubbish bins!

They won the ECWC in 1994 which was arguably more prestigious than the UEFA Cup. Nayim made sure they didn't repeat the feat a year later:

We won the ECWC in 1963 and were the first British club to win a European trophy. This is thought to be the final swan song of the "Glory, Glory" team. Danny Blanchflower retired a year later and John White died in the same summer (a lesser known member of the 27 club).

I don't have a problem with what Arteta's said here. He's congratulated us for our success and properly decided not to be drawn into a puerile argument. He's acted like a responsible professional.

It's no secret that Woolwich aren't happy with their complete failure to challenge Liverpool and their bottle job against PSG so to try and present that as a more successful season makes no sense. If it's not making them happy, it's not a success.

I don't get the piggybacking on the women's football at all. I'm glad that women have their own professional competitions and I wish them all the best with it but I don't feel any personal connection to it - any success for the Tottenham Women's team would be about as personally relevant to me as Sunderland's promotion to the Premier League. I'm not trying to be sexist but I'm not going to waste my time or theirs pretending to have a passion that isn't there.

Please let them have a trophy parade!
