Yeah. Playing attacking football for the sake of attacking football isn't sustainable. And I'd argue that the first season under Conte and the first season and a half under Jose we could play just as good football as we do for Ange every now and again.
With Poch I felt like we could reasonably beat anyone put in front of us. And under Conte and Jose I felt maybe not the same but at the very least like we could trade blows with anyone. The later stages of the EL aside that has not been the feeling with Ange. Rather it feels like we are more likely to lose than not, in spite of wanting to play such a attack minded style.

Exactly, have Richarlison and Bissouma made their way off the transfer list just because they played hard in a handful of EL matches?
We won't be playing in the EL next season so our performance in it is now irrelevant. The type of opponent we played in the EL knockouts (and scraped past, Bodo aside) will now be the chaff in the CL league phase. It's a completely different level and based on Ange's record against top half PL teams and his CL record with Celtic, there is no reason to think he can make us competitive next season. Results and performances have been consistently shit for 18 months no matter who is on the team sheet.
Nah they were great teams, loved watching them play - but they weren't winners - Poch and Redknapp couldn't get us over the line. Its just facts. You cam be as sentimental about it as you want and I had some amazing times watching us win games under those managers but they both failed to win something and chocked at key moments.
The history books don't and won't show those teams as having achieved anything.

Chelsea hammered their opponents in Europe and qualified for CL the hard way, without even suffering as many injuries. That gives confidence. 22 losses in the league and barely getting through each round does not. Ange really is looking terrible.

At this point it doesnt really matter. We got the trophy monkey off our backs and we're back in the CL. The season ended with the targets achieved. Now does levy think ange is the man to take us forward, we will see.
you'd have to seriously back yourself if you're gonna turn down silly money to take on the spurs job. to be fair, the payoff in rep is going to put him into serious elite category if he can come spurs and get the club to where we want it to be.
