There's no world where I can see this happening.

If grasping at straws, two things.

There's not a club in the club with as much unfulfilled potential as us given income potential, facilities.

As squads not quite there goes, we actually have a decent squad distribution for the way Inzaghi has prefered to play at Inter. As a bonus, we may get a season more of quality Son if he gets to play as part of a front two.

If that us true regarding a meeting then, two things come to mind.
1- to discuss what can be done to improve the squad for next year.
2- A parting of the ways, despite winning a trophy i think ange has to go.
A great talker but not great in setting teams up organisationally , he has been undone by most managers and teams because, we are too easy to play against.
Team never looks coached and most games are a mess if we are honest.
If they decide to keep him, how long do they give it next season if things continue.
I think it’s a case of thanks for trophy mate but time to go.
In two seasons how often has this so called great attacking philosophy called ‘Angeball’ actually been seen. We see it in moments. Our attacking play on the whole is shite when we have more of the ball. Our best moments come from transition.

Agree with this. Our current squad is much better for counterattacking. Don’t have the quantity that can break down organized defenses

He says he can’t understand why some fans want him out after an unprecedented season.

According to the Oxford dictionary - unprecedented :- “never done or known before.“

Either he’s unaware of our previous cup victories in Europe or he’s only referring to recent seasons. If, according to his interpretation of the word, then it’s also unprecedented, over the last few decades, that we’ve last had so little league points, so many league losses and ended up so low down the table.

If he wants to take credit for the EL win, then he should, equally, take responsibility for the poor PL season.

There are two sides to a coin. You can’t polish one side and gloat over it whilst keeping the other side dull and neglecting it.
Certainly wouldn’t call it ‘outstanding’ like he did. Especially after changing the goal posts every week and a 101 excuses.

Absolutely correct - Angeball is a bore fest - he loves boring footballers who play boring football.
Essentially a low cross into the box for a tap in. That's his go to.
Have we scored one really good goal this year? I can think of one from Porro.

He does not buy or encourage players to show individual brilliance.

The media narrative is way off - he's a different version of Conte and JM.

I would prefer someone who sat back and played counter attacking football with three fast dynamic front players.

The only encouraging sign was him playing Maddison, Bentancur and Bergvall in midfield. That's at least conducive to good football. Put Kulu in there and you are getting close.

Frankfurt at home was our best attacking display- when they all played
Have we scored a goal like the Brighton lad did for their 4th. I can’t see anyone of our forwards bang in a goal like that.

In football terms what is Ange’s pitch for next season? Do we go back to the reckless kamikaze-ball from earlier in his tenure or is his new extreme Dyche-ball the way forward? Neither is likely to win us many matches.

The reality is that he has not got the coaching skill to make a team that can win PL matches consistently. To do that the team needs to find an effective balance and Ange hasn’t shown any sign of being able to do that.

He rightly threw Angeball in the bin some months ago but then he went to the other extreme of playing Dycheball. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a novice coach because that’s what he is at this level. Is anyone really convinced that he has the football expertise to make us competitive in the league and CL? We won three games against top 10 teams in the PL last season. THREE!
Even the Brighton coach who is 32 has them playing a better brand of football than we do. They also keep going. I’ve seen lots of games in the past two years where we allow games to peter out after a good 15 min spell. Brighton kept going yday. I’d say their coach has managed to do more in one year with cheap points than Ange has in two years in terms of setting up the team and style of play.

Sarr hit a real nice one from deep right-center earlier this season. That was about it though.

Hopefully we can get Bergvall and him clicking together and have a bit more from outside the box next season. Bentancur and Bissouma are just not going to be any kind of reliable scorers as CMs.

What do you think will change next season that would allow these things to happen?

If we want to have a real go at the EPL and Champions League.

- Vast improvements to medical department.
- Romero and Porro stay.
- New number 6 to replace Bissouma.
- Bring in the best goalkeeping coach alive to work with Kinsky and Vic.
- Sell Spence; and get 2 full backs who can compete with Porro and Udogie.
- If Richy isn't physically capable, sell and bring in a striker.
- Dragusin and Kulu will likely be out until later this year. We can't rely on 18 year olds to fill the void. Get some experience players (on loan) to fill the void.

Agreed. His Tottenham sides have rarely played in the style of all of his other teams that I have seen play. I put it down to the coaching staff who have failed in making the vision reality, but ultimately the buck stops with him.

I'd add overhaul the coaching team.

you'd have to seriously back yourself if you're gonna turn down silly money to take on the spurs job. to be fair, the payoff in rep is going to put him into serious elite category if he can come spurs and get the club to where we want it to be.
Inzaghi is only 49, he probably rightly thinks he has plenty of time in his 60s to go to somewhere like KSA/Qatar or a prestigious international job to pick up millions in semi-retirement, and plenty left to achieve in Europe yet. I do think there is some more temptation than usual in the Spurs job at current for managers, we have CL which gives us the opportunity to build the squad from a better pool of players, but we also finished 17th, which is the measure by which their first season will be judged on. It's not really a stretch to think we could tempt Inzaghi here considering the Paratici return and the fact we've had Conte and Mourinho here in recent years, if we can get him we should.

Re your first bullet, shouldn't that be more about improvements to training? We should be aiming to have fewer injuries in the first place (as well as a medical team that helps players recover quickly )

Well Conte and Jose have slagged off Levy constantly since leaving for having no ambition and letting them down . So if Inzaghi can read or has a TV I imagine he rightly wouldn’t touch us with a barge pole under ENIC .
