Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

On what planet is £25 million acceptable for him. We should shut the doors if we keep spending money on young players that have done fuck all. It’s getting embarrassing. Gray,Odobert,Bergvall and Tel if he signs is about £120 million on teenagers in a year!! That’s fucking ludicrous. Yes Bergvall has looked like he can be special but the rest are miles off it. Our recruitment team should be stoned in the street.
I think being stoned is the problem when they recruit them

No he doesn't... he comes here for his retirement pay cheque... no way he is motivated to play full throttle. He'll coast and pick up 200k a week for fuck all output.

Did Edgar Davids or William Gallas come here for early retirement too? no they didn’t. Sane is a very good player, he can be inconsistent with his finishing but he’s a dangerous player and he’ll be a very good mentor for our young wide forwards.

No, my point still stands. We can shop the same places as City do - they are not buying the Messi's or Ronaldo's of this world.

I don't hate our model, I think it can be successful. And yes, the scouting needs to be good.

I wanted Pedro Neto last summer as one of our wide players. Many ppl here upset about the links to that sicknote. When Chelsea came in to the picture I was happy we didn't challenge them. Good for them that he's stayed fit but we all know that he would have lost both his hammies had he come here. Now ppl are upset we didn't go for him but that wasn't the notion at the time. Point here is, there's money and then there's silly money

I didn't want Neto for those very reasons and have no regret that we didn't buy him.

4g/6a in 35 EPL games for £54m ain't worth crying over.

Mate come on... if you're going to push this argument you could have gone with better options than Davids and Gallas. Davids was way past his best and Gallas wasn't much better...

What day does the summer transfer window open in 2025?

This summer will prove unique in the sense the transfer window will open early due to an exceptional registration period for the expanded 2025 Club World Cup. The window will open initially on Sunday, June 1, before temporarily shutting at 7pm on Tuesday, June 10.

I don't care about no Mcatee.

Buy proven talent you absolute helmet. Do these cunts not realise we finished fucking 17th???

What's the point of Paratici, Lange, Munn and Vinai if all we are going to target is predictable 'potentially' good players like Dibling and Mcatee.
It's about the budget they are given.

If Levy gives them £150m but we have to buy seven players most of them will be in that £20-25m bracket.

I know that's not what this club needs but that seems to be the path we head down.

Ange has towed the company line about investing in youth but even he is saying we need some experienced players into the squad.

It doesn't really matter who the next manager is they are going to be up shit creek again without a paddle.
Ultimately, every name that has come up so far is pure speculation. There is no news until it comes from Alasdair Gold and Fabrizio Romano. There is a reason why they have remained silent.

We don't know anything about the club's transfer plans for this summer at this stage. It may well be that we sign some experienced players this summer to complement the young players we bought last year - they may not be top tier marquee signings but what's important is that they strengthen the squad.

The names going around at the moment are in a completely different universe to the players we will actually sign.

If we could get Sane and Tel signed down, that would be a great start to the window. Sane could be transformative for our attack.

If we could nab a decent striker to start ahead of Solanke, that could set us up.

Sane would be a good signing but I can’t help but think that people are going off the Sane they saw for City, not the recent version who plays for Bayern…he doesn’t really take his man on as much as he used to.

I suggested that Spurs buy him 2 summers ago but people then also wanted "established stars"
Of course, one can never be sure by most 17 years old (with a few exceptions) but with a scouting network expected from a club like Spurs I reckon they should have picked him up, as well as Wharton (if Wharton was willing to join Spurs is another matter).
