United hammered Bilbao…yet another soon to be champ lge.
Bruges got into the CL play offs last season, 24th position with 11pts from 8 games. I think we could do that. Depends on the draw but apart from the usual suspects , plenty of beatable teams in there.

Wigan won an FA cup after beating City (10x better as a team than Manchester United of 2025).

Not very good teams win trophies all the time. Chelsea were the actual champions of europe (not champion of Europe B) under a completely average Di Matteo.

Weird how hard you & others find it to disconnect just being happy to win a trophy from what it actually says about Ange as a manager. Just repeating "He won a trophy" isn't actually an argument as the counter to it is about fifty pages other other managers who won a trophy and weren't very good.

Ange should get a thank you note and get fucked off.

We would be instantly retired from winning trophies again.

If there are people running this club who never won shit for years and persuaded themselves that Ange wasn’t the difference this time, they are deluded and will almost certainly take us back into purgatory.

All they have to do is give him into December to prove it one way or another.

Literally all they need to do if they want to win another trophy is make sure we’re not good enough to qualify for the CL (which we are extremely unlikely to win) but instead qualify for the conference or Europa, and then throw everything in to those very winnable competitions where you don’t play anybody elite.

That’s it. That’s all it takes to be a winner in 2025. Congrats.

It’s a cup. There was an actual fucking league for it and we finished fourth.

What kind of moron thinks the EL or CL is a European “league” based on a name. It’s a cup competition with a mini pre league phase.

Yeah no we literally didn’t do that every other time we didn’t qualify because the managers rotated for the Europa league.

Ange went all in for that one competition because it was all we had a chance at and we ended our league season nice and early by being terrible.

Well done him. What a natural winner he truly is.

Completely disagree with that. Postecoglou was the manager. We won.

The club can and will move on and should also part company with Postecoglou.

Nothing will change my view on that.

I think some people are conflating progress with retention of Postecoglou. Utterly flawed.

And we need a decision this week.
