I said we would beat AZ, Bodo and thought the final was a 50/50. I didn’t think we’d beat Frankfurt and that’s the only one you can talk about.

But yes, the competition is pretty shite. Hence why our finalists were 16th place. Hope that fucking helps mate.

Yeah mate but with Kane and Poch we were clashing heads with the likes of Madrid in Europe (and beating them) and finishing on 86 points in the prem, not finishing 17th and throwing everything at the ropey league.

Such embarrassing shite. You really think if the peak Spurs side with peak Kane had entered this years version of the EL and focused everything on it, we wouldn’t have won it? FFS you clowns, that Spurs team didn’t win the actual major European trophy only because we played 98 point Liverpool.

Kane’s Spurs were simply fighting in higher weight classes.

We beat Frankfurt, soon to be champ lge. Bodo..probably will be as well.
United hammered Bilbao…yet another soon to be champ lge.
Bruges got into the CL play offs last season, 24th position with 11pts from 8 games. I think we could do that. Depends on the draw but apart from the usual suspects , plenty of beatable teams in there.

Wigan won an FA cup after beating City (10x better as a team than Manchester United of 2025).

Not very good teams win trophies all the time. Chelsea were the actual champions of europe (not champion of Europe B) under a completely average Di Matteo.

Weird how hard you & others find it to disconnect just being happy to win a trophy from what it actually says about Ange as a manager. Just repeating "He won a trophy" isn't actually an argument as the counter to it is about fifty pages other other managers who won a trophy and weren't very good.

Ange should get a thank you note and get fucked off.

We would be instantly retired from winning trophies again.

If there are people running this club who never won shit for years and persuaded themselves that Ange wasn’t the difference this time, they are deluded and will almost certainly take us back into purgatory.

All they have to do is give him into December to prove it one way or another.
