Don't want to slag the bloke off too much, because he's a winner and was fantastic in the europa league run.. but he's a mercurial and fairweather centre back. Mercurial is something you can take from a number 10.. But never a centre back.Dereliction of duty imo first game of season away to leicester. Sleepwalking for vardys goal. Had head turned last summer. Was world class in final but very inconsistent. Sell him and get guehi.
As opposed to relegation ambition...Surely it's not happening. Absolutely screams mid table ambition.
The rumours were true for once. But I dont see the point in having a superstar manager if you dont want to buy superstar players.
Youd be better off with Frank given the ambition of the club in terms of transfers.

We have unfinished business with floppy haired Italian coaches who like a back three.IDK who you're informed by but we have significantly outspent Inter Milan every single season since Inzaghi became their manager in 2021 and he was manager of Lazio for 5 years prior, he certainly is not what you would describe as a "big budget" manager, he's made the most of what he has had to work with at both clubs and done very well in Italy. Jury is out on what he could achieve here but certainly 2 CL final appearances with Inter and a serie A are the kind of credentials that are hard not to get excited about.
Ange has served his purpose getting the monkey off our back with the trophy now we need an actual decent coach.Thomas Frank is an upgrade to this guy. Love the cup. But getting 17th in the league is a absolutely unacceptable

Even if he went to Newcastle and we got Howe I'd still consider that a net positive.

I mean, it is if they’re doing that, Tom

He doesn't, he's a pragmatist. Go watch their football in the championship.
Frank changes based on his team. Try and play pretty football with Brentford's resources and their players and you will go down very quickly - they have athletes and target men.

If the club has any wit they'll have a quick look at Man Utd and how they acted last summer and realise that once you've undermined the manager by speaking to candidates about the job in a way that's been allowed to be made public, you cannot go back and say, "ooh dear, we'll keep you then". It doesn't work and cannot work.. When you've decided he's not the man, he's done.Essentially seems like if we can get a name that we like in, he'll go. If not, he starts the season.
DVDSAn actual, decent coach who will relieve us of the pressure of winning more trophies?
We can get back to making DVDs of finishing 4th again. The good old days
