It could be the case that everyone is cracking on behind the scenes quietly without running to the press every few hours...?
I don't get you. Frank will still going to work in Brentford every day while Ange is now back from holiday and reporting to duty at Spurs.

Why are we allowing this to happen if we are cracking on behind the scenes? Is Ange staying or going? By your logic he is staying and we're cracking on.

This thread needs to be closed until an announcement is made or until Ange back in business at Hotspur Way. You guys are in a time loop.

Club Statement:

"The club would like to confirm that we are going to hand back the Europa League trophy. We don't feel worthy of it after losing 22 league games last season. From our perspective, the trophy drought will continue until we win only the hardest competition that we are in. I hope this brings clarity to our fanbase who were confusing last season to be a good season"

I genuinely think some posters on here want this to happen! LOL

Thought I read Frank is on hols the same as Ange.

Also thought our structure on recruitment was less about the manager these days.

Or it could be everyone that needs to know that Ange is staying will know and be cracking on.

Or it could be that everyone that needs to know Ange is going will know and be cracking on.

Could be we're already talking to his replacement.

Could be we don't know who his replacement will be.

Could already be in discussions with targets.

Could still be figuring out our targets.

It might be that everyone is still getting pissing everyday since it's still only a couple of weeks after the final.

My point being...just cos TFC haven't been told what's happening, doesn't mean nothing is happening.

But then it could actually be that nothing is happening and you're right. In which case, I apologise for taking up your time.

Yes I hope your right and I'm wrong. I was running off your narrative last week and telling everyone that a decision will be made last Monday. Another week has passed now so I'm getting very concerned. My concern is that the club are still not sure what they are doing!

Dude, what are you on about . The conversation is about whether or not it is meaningless, not whether Ange is a good coach or better than Klopp.

The guy won a more major trophy. than 95% of managers ever will in their entire career. It's an achievement for him and no amount of sour grapes about Spurs' 17th place finish changes that.
So you think he'll end up in a top 5 European league in his next job then? Surely serial winner Ange Postecoglou has his sights set as high as possible, so if there are offers, he will take them. We'll see.

Far too much belief that winning the Europa league transforms everything. It's a monkey off our back. It's just about a way to stave off the anti-spurs brigade who bang on about our lack of trophies.
The board will act the same. We will still be stingey in the transfer market. We will need a coach to get more than the sum of the squads parts out of them to do anything next season. Ange aint that man.
In the seasons after the 1999 and 2008 League cup wins we were rubbish. Those cup wins did nothing to propel us to better performances.
In some ways I'm not sure I'd blame them.

Imagine you've got a shower that hasn't worked for years, and you hire a guy to come and redo the bathroom. He says "I'll need £20k for the tiles. Really nice tiles". If you get to the end of the job and he's broken most of the tiles and left the whole room like a building site, but says "I told you I'd fix the shower mate. The rest of it I'll need another £20k to fix", you're not going to be inclined to let him burn it all away.

That is often the concern tbf lol

It may be they don't and it's a complete shit show behind the scenes but I don't concern myself with it. Fuck all I can do about it.

Just treating it as everyone liking to build the tension!

I see Palace may be kicked out of Europe because of the dual ownership rule. Cant imagine Glasner will be too happy about that. Board messed up badly by not transferring shares into a blind trust. Probably too late now unfortunately.
They will be fine.
Lector has already said he will put shares in a trust, sell shares or other things to make them compliant.

No different to the Red Bulls, or Man Utd/Nice

So you are literally there saying we need 3 full teams to play next year, plus obviously cover for all the injuries those teams will have.
Where on Earth are you getting that from? Literally? Do you know what that word actually means?
Good job we have the NFL changing rooms to cover the 50 man squad you are basically proposing we need for Ange to have a go at the Premier League
You are "literally" making it all up.

He said we need a full team for the Premier league.
A team of experienced players exclusively to play in the Champions League and
A team of young players to play in the domestic cups.

Suggest you understand English and what you are reading before commenting on a forum again

I don't see why he wouldn't end up somewhere in the top 5 leagues? He just won the Europa League - is he gonna manage a CL team? unlikely, but I don't see why a team in the Europa would not be interested.

My feeling is that if they weren't outraged by Spurs - they would be outraged by something else.

It's a personality trait made 100x worse by social media, which is scientifically designed to foster outrage and increase it.
Control of the masses.

Keep them in an emotional state, they can't think critically.

The internet should be the tool that increases our cognitive reasoning, instead it is being used as a tool to dumb down the masses via social media, where logic is suffocated by "feels."

So he'll have no issue finding gainful employment at a top club when we sack him then I'm sure? If the Europa was such a magnificent achievement it will surely erase the top club's memories of him guiding us to a 17th placed finish when he had more than one competition on his plate at a time?

It will tell everything about just how important a cup win it was by what standard of job he gets next, is all I'm saying. If he ends up out in Greece it won't surprise me.

Clubs hire winners

Their fans want to win and most football clubs want to win.

Don’t mistake this weird top 4 mentality we have at this club and in some other PL teams, as being the norm

Most pro sports organizations are geared towards winning

So we'll see, then. If he finds gainful employment at a top 5 euro league club, I will happily admit I was wrong and the Europa league clearly qualifies him at this level in spite of the woeful league form.

If he ends up at AEK Athens or back in Scotland/Australia it's pretty definitive proof to the contrary, that he is in fact woefully out of his depth at the top end of the game, and 1 EL win does not change that.
