Agree.
It's hard to imagine him getting 4 years to work with a young group of players at ours, never qualifying for Europe, finishing 13th, 9th, 16th and 10th plus going out in the 3rd round of the Cup in 3 of the 4 seasons and him still being in a job.

You do realize that
i) Brentford pay the 2nd worst in the league as wages ? and you cant expect them to qualify for Europe. Its even a big achievement to not even be in a relegation fight for 4 seasons.
ii) If he develops good young players, he had to end up selling them - like Watkins, Benrahma , Toney , (or Mbuemo this season)....

How can people not see this ? Is this bias getting in your way ? How could some of you look at position of league but forget the context of the club or over achievement he is doing

He's the embodiment of the tactical nous, maturity, principles, philosophy and experience we require, who is fully equipped to work under this intransigent regime and get the best out of our players, that I'm endorsing.

That's the point.

It' s becoming super, super weird that some of you can't grasp this.

Almost as if you don't want to.
Thinky, mate.....You're coming across as a Danish version of an Australian Ange fanbois.

Seriously, think about what your posting. It's exactly the kind of content you've been criticising many others for these past couple of years

I suppose the new manager will be announced tomorrow? Or am I being naively optimistic?

Maybe it'll be Donna.

Nothing I've said is unreasonable or fantastical.

In my estimation this guy is perfect for us right now.

And I absolutely hope we get to find out.

Every pundit and footy reporter (not to mention other prem managers) will tell you this guy is a very, very good manager that has performed miracles with peanuts.

Not that they should have to.
Then why no big job offer... what's been the issue. Surely the Chavs or United would have given him the opportunity if he was that good. The Chavs went for a Championship manager over him. For me, hes not and never will be a big club manager. He's okay in his safe place but this is an order of magnitude different.

If there was you'd have every right to come in it and tell me I should have listened to you.

Btw who would you like as manager (you're not allowed to say Ange!).
I dunno tbh. The pool seems very shallow atm plus I'm not someone who follows what other managers/teams do too closely.

I'm more than willing to give Frank a chance but, in my opinion, I'm disappointed we sacked our trophy winning manager for him.

I know why we sacked Ange. I get it. I understand why we felt we needed to do it. I just need to see the proof that the upheaval for Frank is worth it.

Iraola, Howe and Glasner not had any big offers?

Would you not take any of those?

Would you need them to have had big offers before you concede they're good managers?

I don't disrespect the guy, and if he gets the job I hope he is stellar. I have supported every manager at the club except George Graham and Juande Ramos and I will support him. It's a tough job for whoever gets it.

The next manager is walking into a Champions League campaign where he will be judged badly if we are out after 8 games where we take some hidings. The next manager is going to inherit some of the best young talent we have ever had at the club, and he is going to be judged badly if at least 4 or 5 of them (and that means the Academy lads plus Yang and Vuskovic, not Bergvall and Gray) don't become first team regulars in the next 3 years. He is going to have to bring them on without sacrificing too much in terms of results.

I would rather hang my hat on Poch than Frank. Maybe that's right, maybe it's wrong. I just see more in Poch to believe it can be done. Basically the same age as Frank but with a much more impressive CV. He already did something similar with us once, he even made something out of the shitshow at Chelsea before they sacked him.

Why it is stupid to hire him ?

Because , in your mind, you thought of some random hypothetical thing and you just convinced yourself you are right ???

What about it is random?

Ange is sacked because he finished 5th then won a trophy and qualified for the CL.

He's sacked because he could not do them both in the same season yet.

Yet you are not willing to bet me that the new manager can do any better.

Jog on.

If it’s Poch or Frank, I am for Poch too . But can’t see him leave US job.

Otherwise, points you say will be applicable to 90% of linked candidates.

Correct.
Glasner won Europa League with Frankfurt who are a big club. Large fanbase, rich history and whilst they're not Bayern or Dortmund they are far bigger than many of the PL teams.

I agree with all of that, except for the part of not wanting Ange sacked.

Glasner would probably be my pick of realistically available managers, but I don’t think Frank will be a car crash. He’ll get us back up the table, competing for a champions league spot, exactly what the club wants

Nope

He was sacked because he went against his own words

1) Ange said why should we throw away a game to City (for denying Woolwich) and we should always win AND he threw the entire second half of PL even when he had players back

2) He said he will never go back on his philosophy & walked it back again in EL.

The injury crisis were his own making. Even if you completely excuse him out of it , our PL form since dec2023 is terrible.

This is why he is getting sacked.

Jog on now 🤣
