Because that's what they are paid MILLIONS to do.

Not throw their toys out because they might now get a manager that requires them to be disciplined on the field.
I can't believe that I'm seeing this tone around some places of "Well it's not surprising that the players are upset and it's understandable blah blah.."

No it bloody well isn't understandable or acceptable. And I tell you right now.. For pretty much any player at Tottenham that thinks that they will have Bayern/Barca/Real/Liverpool ready to "rescue" them. They will learn very quickly that we are as big as it will get for them, and if anything they're lucky to be here.

Both can be true though. Yes the squad wasn’t deep enough, but he’s not without blame in all of this.
I think his intense style of play meant a strong squad is even more important than for other managers. He’s certainly not blameless.

One thing the Ange Outers may not be accounting for is the emotional setback for the players and the fans heading into this season. We’ve thrown away the momentum of winning the Europa League. Club will feel flat.

Those who wanted him to stay, be that fans or players will of course feel flat and disappointed now.. But that's because he was only sacked ten hours ago. There's two months before the season starts. Day one of the premier league is never flat. 2 months is a long time and optimism/hope levels will balance out to normal levels again because thats how people work. The same as it would have done for those who wanted him gone, if he had stayed.

That cycle is part of the reason why Levy has been able to survive for so long.. Because the anger never stays at the fever pitch forever, and he knows it will always level out.

We’ll see about that in 2 months time. One point though- majority of fans in the stadium backed Ange and hate Levy.

Even though it was a meaningless game I was hoping to see some of that momentum translate to the Brighton game. Instead, it was another performance where the players looked woefully uncoached and we got battered. Really don't have a lot of confidence that we would've seen some miraculous turn around next season.

That’s just how YOU personally feel. I feel like we’re showing some signs of actually wanting to take Champions League seriously- and a very weak cup win does not make me feel like we have any genuine momentum.

I respect your views and mention this because I think it’s important to understand that we are not hopeless, nor do many of us believe that either.

Great timing all-round.

Won a cup as captain, can extend his career in less demanding league and earn tons, we get much needed money

It’s the right time for this, again, same as last summer. We all love Son and recognize his past goalscoring prowess, but that time is now past us. For the good of the team we need to move on and make space for the next generation of talents to emerge.

That sounds sane!

They played well in the first half but fatigued in the second- good effort while very hungover.

Noted- but that doesn't reflect the majority of fan opinion. Most fans aren't downplaying the EL win as a 'very weak cup'- 200k plus turnout on the streets 2 weeks ago.
