Who is pretending that?

Newcastle struggled in Ange’s first season due to CL. Villa finished ahead of us in both of Ange’s seasons. Overall he’s allowed them to both establish themselves ahead of us - prior to that only one season had established this, one where we had two temporary managers at the helm.

Harder to get in front of teams once they’ve established themselves in that way. Frank has to overcome that and pull us back ahead of them.

I've only just realised that he's been officially announced. No fanfare or kissing the badge on the balcony etc. Respectful to all parties. Oddly refreshing.
