12 months and he's a free agent.. going now he'd lose a HUGE chunk of cash.. as much as my footballing instincts in many ways tells me it's the right thing to do for him and the club...think the financial side wins the day, he'll go when his contract runs out.

The biggest argument I can make for letting him go is that last season he did seem to get knocked off the ball easier than in the past.

His pace seems to have gone. There was a few times last season when he got the ball on the break and, in the old days, that meant he was away and in on the keeper. He's still decently pacey but that rocket fuel has been replaced by unleaded.

Speaks volumes the only club interested is Saudi Arabia Retirement FC.

We'll be lucky to get any large fee out of him. He's completely washed and played a huge part in us finishing 17th.

Funny how he clutches onto the Europa League trophy like he played any part in winning it. We only won that trophy because he didn't start in the final and ruin it like every other Finals he's played in.

Not this cunt again???

Fuck off, you absolute shitter.

Yeah I agree. Though I'd like a co-captain in the starting XI (Romero if he stays). Son would be an impact sub.
Agreed. The captain needs to be on the pitch and if Son stays he'll probably no longer be an automatic 70 minutes. Romero is really the logical choice. If Kulu was healthy and playing full time I think he's got the right disposition for it. Maddison is a leader, but he's not likely to be consistently on the pitch.

If you were in his shoes then running down the contract and going to an MLS club and pocketing $20m or whatever fee might make sense?

Yep absolutely, I'm sure he'll play in the Korean lge a little later .. but arguably the next move will, relatively,be his last huge contract opp and I'm 100%sure his financial advisors/family will be telling him to run it down, and move on a 'free' to Saudi or MLS or where ever he/they feel is right for him.

Why are you always so angry?

He's obviously overdoing it but can you actually argue with anything he's said in his post?

Will we be lucky to get a large fee out of him? Yes

Was he absolutely horrendous the whole of last season?
Yes

Would we have won the Europa with him starting?
I think not

Has he no shown every important semi/final he has played in?
Yes

Cunt's been trolling for some time.... There's no need to dignify him.

I don't give a shit about the poster.

That's the thing with this place. People refuse to take posts in isolation and instead focus on the poster. I don't care about what he's said historically...what he said in that particular post is factually correct.

Meh....one can already find such opinions expressed far less cuntishly - with less glee - elsewhere.

I’ll give you 24 hours to delete your account, bitch.

Slightly different in that they both went to Germany and Italy and to teams that are/were champions lge participants/contenders, the current speculation regarding son is around going to Saudi or MLS. Where the 'lure' is slightly different.
He will stay with us until the Korea tour and probably leave. More like a farewell tour for him.
My guess is he will probably go back to Bundesliga or end up in MLS.
I think he made it clear before that he is not going to Saudi.
