Doesn't surprise me. I've always rated him highly. Was used all wrong under Ange, often as a lone 6 in a chaos system where he was constantly left exposed. He is not a DM but played as the most exposed DM in the league last year. I think Rodri would have struggled to do that role for us, nevermind a player being shoehorned into that role! Often with 2 of Maddison, Kulusevski or Bergval ahead of him in the midfield 3! Full backs inverted! My God he was fed to the dogs!
Beside a proper DM in a well organised system, Lolo will cook!

The Ange echo on that was strong.
No mention of Paratici. The structure is pretty clear now: levy, vinai, Lange, Frank. I rate that. Small, tight knit and a point to prove.

Pre-season doesn't start until July so I think that this was more of a tour around the building and getting to meet people thing. And the players spotted were just in to do rehab since it was Maddison and Dragu.
