I wasn’t sold on Tel last season but he is young and clearly has potential. No sense in getting down on him now, he’s our player and deserves time to show what he can do.

Our boy Tel barely played a game for Rennes, didn't get one single Ligue 1 goals and he scored at the same clip at Bayern as Henry did at Juve...knowing the latter was rarely played in his favored positions in Italy. Tel also has fuck all caps with the senior NT.

Henry started his career with Monaco as an 18 year old and had 5 full season at Mônaco. Tel started with 16 and went to Bayern aged 17 and played 10 matches for Rennes. Henry had his first match for France aged 20, Tel's age. Tel has played most out of position for Bayern and here too. I'm not arguing that he's the level or will be better than Henry, but you comparissions doesn't make much sense.

Easier to be negative about youngsters.
Statistically you’re likely to be proved right too, most footballers don’t turn into a bale, Henry, Ronaldo or Messi.

For every one player that gets to that level how many just have solid pro careers?
